What a fraudulent apology by Rogan That was some cringy manufactured drama that completely took the attention away from the main event Dana, get hit by a train
Yeah that was bad. Aljo didn’t really get a moment, and he just had a five round fight. He shouldn’t have to push Sean out of his face that’s bullshit
The bad part is this isn't Dana. This is WME pushing their bullshit. Dana had way more say when the Fertitta's ran the UFC. Now he's just a mouthpiece for his corporate bosses And I don't even like Dana.
I kind of feel bad for Henry. He can clearly compete at the top of the division, but at this point, I doubt he wants to put in the fights to get another shot.
If only he didn't retire to start a family with his girlfriend who then immediately dumped him after. If only.
I mean it’s a tale as old as time… going up a division rarely works out. Off the top of my head, McGregor going up and fighting Diaz, Max fighting Poirier, Izzy vs Blachowicz, Volk vs Islam, now Cejudo vs Sterling… there’s quite a precedent for top level guys looking “fine” when going up a weight but the physics problem regarding mass and the tape measure problem regarding reach have all prevented these guys from actually getting wins. Sure there are plenty of guys who have gone up and been successful vs the meaty part of the roster but it’s so damn hard to be elite when you have legitimate physical disadvantages Vs the tip of the spear. you could maybe say Cejudo landed the harder shots, but Aljo was able to get so many freebies from simply having a massive reach advantage, the sheer number of strikes landed is tough to overcome. A lot of Cejudo’s strikes probably put most of the 125 roster on their ass. I’ve been on the wrong side of so many of these fights because I want to believe in the skill… but if you are 2% better than your opponent but they are 5-10% bigger… the ability advantage probably isn’t enough. (Also please no one hit me with the “well actually McGregor went up from 145 to 155 and won the belt… Conor was always going to be temporarily at 45, he looked like a ghoul at that weight.)
Dana definitely pays someone to lie to him and feed him bullshit and tell him how great he is like he’s Donald Trump.
Oh, totally. That's what makes him the dumb bitch. When the fighter is like "he's clearly had enough" that's a terrible look for a guy who already has neck tats
A buddy texted me after the main “Who can stop Almeida’s wrestling at heavyweight??” I was just like… have you heard of Jon Jones?
Yeah I guess so. I thought Aspinall had real potential, but his injury has completely killed his momentum. I think Jon beats Stipe and hangs it up again. I dont think he cares to fight Almeida or Pavlovich. Unless something changes with Francis there isnt another fight for him
