Elliott gets the 1st round, but he's dead tired. How did Elliott make 125 for the fights on TUF? Looks like he's about 140-145 lbs.
Yea I can't see Elliott going too long, he needs to finish it to win, or win this round and not get finished and hope.to sneak one more
Not even close to the best we have seen from Mighty Mouse, but still looks like it's gonna be enough to pick up an easy decision win.
Johnson spent most that fight just laying on him. He didn't do much shit on top, and Tim didn't seem in too much of a hurry to get up. All season on TUF Dana kept saying "who says these guys can't finish fights and are boring?" And was bragging about all the fights that ended in finish on the show. Wonder his thoughts on that
There's nobody that can beat DJ right now. It'd be awesome if Lineker could make 125 because that power is lethal, but won't happen. Once he beats Anderson's title defense record, needs to go back up to 135.
All joking aside, the sheer size of Demetrious' head has to make him more susceptible to guillotines.
I wanted to fight Brian Stann in the Cejudo fight. He said in the first round Benevides out struck Cejudo 2 to 1. He had to know that was not accurate. Later in the fight Anik said the stats were incorrect. Thought it was a draw. Elliott needs to go back to the crazy hair. Hell of a first round
https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/dana-white-says-cris-cyborg-103252803.html This fucking chick is 5'7 and is saying she can't make 145. Fucking Jose Aldo makes 145 and he's a man.
The physiology of a man vs a woman in weight cutting are two different animals. For example - estrogen and progesterone help control menstrual cycles in women which lead to fluid retention during that time. If a woman takes "the pill", it can deepen the weight gain as well. Which is part of the reason that Cyborg was incredibly angry at George Lockhart for getting her to take oral contraceptives during her last fight when she was already struggling with weight. Now it would be easy to say - "she needs to lose some of that muscle mass". Not so easy with women. The female body isn't built to lose large amounts of muscle mass in short time frames. Womens fat content will help control hormonal production. Losing too much, too quickly, will change their menstrual cycle. And in a high end female athlete, your menstrual cycle being off with throw off cardio to the point it limits how you can even train most days. You've gotta remember, Cyborg is just a gigantic woman. Three days after he last fight, she was weighing 175 pounds. That's an enormous weight gain in a short time frame. She dropped over 20lbs in a week just to make weight. For a man, that's alot of weight. For a woman, that's just not healthy, or safe for their long term health. Comparing the weight loss of a man and a woman just isn't the same animal.
You know what's not easy for a woman to carry around more muscle than a man. That's my point. Girls that are 5'7 don't walk around at 175 with 10% body fat or whatever she has.
I mean, do you want her to apologize for being a large woman or something? Look at her compared to Frankie Edgar ..
No she should stop pretending she took stanozolol one time. like I said she's 5'7. Ronda Rousey cut 17 pounds in one day so save it about it being too hard for cyborg to cut weight
How long do steroids stay in your system? she is probably worried about the fights she was offered being too soon for her to come off them and then make weight
Any past PED use is a pretty irrelevant thing to current circumstances, especially considering it was 5 years ago. She does the required USADA testing and hasn't been busted under the more stringent testing. And again, you cannot compare the dieting/cutting regimen of every fighter to just one that you want to criticize. It doesn't work that way because the biology/makeup of one person is not comparable to the next. Further, Rousey's weight cut was insanely stupid and incredibly dangerous. Rapid weight loss in that form is usually done by losing water and glycogen, and not actual fat content. Because your body loses water at that rapid a pace, especially in women, kidney function, and arterial function begins to decrease. Even brain function and responsiveness struggles at that point. And at 15% body weight loss in a day, that's approaching a point where the commission is likely to not even clear a fighter just for safety reasons. And that gets back to Cyborg's point of why she is wanting to wait on her next fight to allow her body to recover because of the stress she put in thru to make weight in her last fight. One last point - Dana is FOS when he says Cyborg turned down a fight at 145lbs against Holm. Holly's agent said she agreed to fight Cyborg at catch weights of 136 and 138, and that Holly never agreed to fight Cyborg at 145lbs.
Insane amount of heart by Safarov to stay in this, and hurt Villante a couple times at the end of that round.
Good for Lewis to comeback and get the win. That was a terrible and boring fight before that 4th round.
Excited to see Vannata fight again right now. If you remember, his last fight was with Tony Ferguson on extremely short notice. He gave Ferguson absolute hell, dropping him multiple times in that fight.
