It makes no sense to me for Jon to keep the title while he’s going to be out a year +. He can’t fight Stipe in a title match, immediately upon return, because he would have to unify the title first. Stipe is 41 and can’t wait another 2 years to fight him. Jon should just relinquish the title, Tom-Sergei should be for vacant, and they can figure out Stipe-Jon when Jon is healthy. It’s a legacy fight, I don’t think the title HAS to be on the line. Jon is an ego maniac, so I don’t think there was ever a chance he gives it up, though. It’s insane to me to hold up the division for Jon, even if he is the “Goat.” He has made it clear who he does, and doesn’t, want to fight.
The UFC makes shit up on the fly. They absolutely can fight for a belt. They might even make up a belt for them to fight for.
I’m so soft for not going all in on Dalby. missed the last bit of the 3rd round in the Fakrheridinov fight. I guess it was a left 10-8? Hard to trust judges on 10-8s these days though. And Almeida should only fight when DC is on the call. No one else can get hyped up for folkstyle wrestling takedowns and pins.

Derrick showed signs of improvement at damn near 40. He didn’t get subbed and actually got back to his feet a few times. But his ground game is still bad in the scheme of things. idk what Almeida thinks is going to happen if he tries that type of style vs a Jones or Stipe. But I guess he’s just hoping they retire before he is in the title hunt.

If you have 3 hours to kill the weigh in show today was such a fun watch. Laura Sanko is great for obvious reasons, but her chemistry with DC is off the charts. It's great television watching those two feud. DC is the most likeable guy on the planet.
Fun card. That faceoff between Jiri and Pereira last night was one of the most intense things I've ever seen. Let's jump into it. I would never be on Emmers as such a big favorite. Bujuzka lost his first fight in the UFC by decision on short notice. He trains with Weidman's gym. I'll take a chance on the dog here. Buzujka by decision. I think Van/Borjas should be close to a pickem, very similar fighters, very similar resumes. No value in Van, again I'll be on a big dog. We'll know real fast if we're in line for a big night. Borjas has the 4th highest finishing percentage on the card, I'll take Borjas ITD. Goodness, another dog. I like the experience Kang has in the UFC, and again seeing no value on Castenada as a big favorite. Kang by decision. Mark O Madsen has no business being a dog to Jared Gordon. I expect takedowns early and often. 4 big dogs to start the day. Madsen by decision. I might make a 4 man parlay to start the night, it's +5092 on mybookie. Sadykhov ITD. Rebecki should murder Roberts. ITD. Already have a lot of dogs on the card, but I'll dabble again. Ricci by decision. I think she can find the takedown and lots of top control. Erceg is a fascinating guy. Doesn't look like a fighter but absolutely has that dog in him. I like him here, probably by decision. This main card is sneaky good. Sabatini/Lopes both look for the back. I like Sabatini with his wrestling pedigree to find some takedowns, and likely win by decision. Saint Denis/Frevola could be FOTN. I'm such a huge mark for BSD. Somebody gets cracked here. BSD ITD. Dern is a big favorite, not so sure she should be. Andrade is on a losing streak, but has fought nothing but killers. I'll have plenty of both on DK. Wouldn't bet this though. I don't care for the way Aspinall has been talking about this fight. Doesn't seem confident at all. Only been in camp for 2 weeks. I'll be 80/20 Pavlovich on DK. I like Pavolovich ITD. This is an awesome main event. I'm way more stoked for this and Aspinall/Pavlovich then I would be Jones/Miocic. Again, I'll have plenty of both, but likely 70/30 Jiri. Not sure Pereira has felt somebody with his power before. But either can finish this fight in a split second. I'm very excited for tonight, this card is fantastic.
