I dunno but this fixes defense for Portland and adds shooting around Embiid. I'd give it a shot as a Portland fan and hope Simmons wants to play with Dame for a chip

I don’t know anything about hawks ownership but have they talked at all about their appetite for paying the luxury tax? Depending on what happens with the gallinari contract and a heurter extension they could be in it as soon as the 22/23 season. With capelas extension and more of their young guys getting off rookie deals they would be in it then for the foreseeable future

 

simmons and maxey are better than, and have a combination of more team friendly contracts than CJ and Simons. How many firsts is Portland going to give up in this trade

 

I'm sure as many firsts as it would take.

I don't know if you watched Simons much this year but if they ever traded Dame, he would start in Portland. I'd happily keep him instead of Maxey and I loved Maxey in college.

Just threw Maxey and Simons in the trade to address the Paul stuff and Simons would fit really well into the 76ers rotation around Embiid compared to our other assets. Simons has a pure stroke from 3 as a set shooter and coming off screens. All he's missing is getting to the basket consistently and drawing fouls/finishing when fouled. His assist average is low but that's more because of how Portland uses him than a reflection of his passing ability.

It'll be fun to see how he develops this year under Billups and with another year of man muscle growth (he's 22 this year). Guy's 100% effort and a gym rat too. Portland's kept him out of trades because they think he's a star in the making and if they do have to move Dame, he'd be the guy that would step in.

 

How in the world does that make logical sense? Virus don't care who carries it.

 

Right I'm just saying that you said your mandate for religious exemptions will be denied if you had any prior vaccinations so I'm just wondering what a "successful" exemption would look like because you can't show a record of not having any vaccines if you never had them.

 

I think it's more of a legal thing? If they enforced it for all players it would be the same as one team essentially setting the vaccination policy for the entire NBA and I dunno if they have the authority to do that?
