Too lazy to see if anybody else started an LA Rams thread and I don't wanna use the (inferior) St. Louis thread. Celemo snowfx2 RoyalShocker this is one handsome motherfucker tbh I didn't follow the Rams at all last year so I barely know shit about this roster
Yuge new fan here. Excited to see Goff and Gurley in the backfield. Best team in California and arguably the world.
Truman can you do us a solid and give new Rams fans cliff notes on the roster? I am familiar with Jeff Fisher from many unrealistic USC head coaching searches
Hey, who else did we draft? I like Goff... It was a lot to trade for him, but a monster defense and a run game can make a QB look good. And speaking of looking good.... I think he has the potential to be a very handsome man. He's going to drop some of that facial body fat and he has shown a willingness to experiment with his hair a bit, I think there is some solid quality to work with there and he's going to look real good
Offense - It's Gurley and everyone else. OL - Greg Robinson is looking like a massive bust @ LT. The Rams need to cut their losses and move him to Guard. Problem is they have no one to play LT. The Rookie OLs they drafted - last year (Havenstien, Brown, Donnel )are promising, but have a long way to go. I think Haventstien is going to be very good though. RB - You have a God WRs - They're all terrible. Tavon Austin cant run a route to save his life, but if he ever does get the ball, he's dangerous. Needs to be more decisive. Dances around too much. Kenny Britt is good for a couple good games, then nothing the rest of the year. Same goes for Quick. TE - Be thankful you dont have to suffer through Jared Cook. Kendricks is serviceable, but nothing special. Defense DL is god-tier. Aaron Donald is the best player in the league. Quinn is a monster. Brockers is a great run stuffer. Losing Long will hurt, but Williams Hayes should be fine as a starter. PS - Williams Hayes is probably the funniest dude on the team. He thinks Dinosaurs are fake, but mermaids are real. LBs - Ogletree is a stud. Ayers was pretty good last year too. Mark Baron is a safety, but he pretty much plays OLB and is really good. CBs - As frustrating as he was, losing Janoris hurts. Trumain Johnson is good. Lots of unknowns after that. EJ Gaines was awesome as a rookie, but missed all of last year with an injury. Marcus Roberson was good in spots. Lamarcus Joyner has been pretty meh. Mostly just safety blitzer, not great in coverage. Safety - TJ McDonald is a stud. Lost FS Rodney McCleod which will hurt. I guess they'll try Maurice Alexander in there, but he got burned a lot as a rookie last year. The team really is "just" a competent QB and a serviceable OL away from being really good.
A TE from West Kentucky who has some legal issues and Pharoh Motherfucking Cooper a stud WR from Souf Carolina
I watched Higbee a few times thanks to fantasy, but he's a receiving TE, no clue if he's able to block.
Twitter › darrenrovell Best Twitter handle in this draft, and it isn't close: Rams 4th round pick Pharoh Cooper or @KingTutt_chdown.
I love Puig's tweet to Goff Yasiel Puig @YasielPuig Apr 29 Yasiel Puig Retweeted Jared Goff @JaredGoff16 Big hug, Welcome to LA, I show you around, be my guest to @Dodgers game #PuigYourFriend #PuigNotLate
It was in response to Goff tweeting a year ago that he hoped someone drills Puig in the ribs too. #puigyourfriend is just amazing
Haha yep Jared Goff Verified account @JaredGoff16 I really hope Yasiel Puig gets a fastball in his ribs tomorrow
Rams for sure my NFC team now. Will prob go to a few games this year... I hope Goff can at least be Alex Smith tier, that should get this team to the playoffs
He's fondly referred to as Fayroh among South Carolina fans thanks to Spurrier's accent. I think he's the only player from last years team that Spurrier actually knew their name. Hopefully he won't have to deal with the whole "Only player worth scheming against" thing that he's had to deal with for so long anymore.
Andy McCullough @McCulloughTimes 23m23 minutes ago Yasiel Puig will catch the first pitch from Jared Goff tonight.
How long is the leash gonna be with Fisher? Coming up on a decade since his last winning season as a HC
Sold out the Coliseum on Saturday Heard that it was a ton of fun even though it was a preseason game. Also heard parking was $100 in some places.
Just from watching Hard Knocks I can tell Goff is going to be a terrible NFL QB just because of how stupid he is.
Yeah Metro or Uber or a combo of the two would be the best option. IIRC none of the USC campus parking is available to fans which is a pretty good chunk of parking. Thus supply is limited and they can charge up the ass on all of the private lots as well as parking in somebody's yard. I haven't been up there to see, but I am sure the new soccer stadium/Sports Arena demo is taking up a bunch spots as well.
Here is how Los Angeles works... -Don't talk shit to Mexicans- They can't fight because they are the worst athletes on earth, but they will throw bottles, stab, or gang up on you. -Don't be a fan of any team from outside of Los Angeles. For the most part, all of the teams from LA get along well with each other and can joke around... If you're from outside of LA, vicious gang mentality arises I'm already training for the first fight Beo starts at the Coliseum in his Broncos gear :( It's going to be a nightmare.
Going to have to be a Arizona Cardinals game because the Scrams play in Denver this year. All jokes aside shocker's post is 100% correct. I went to a couple UCLA vs sc games as an undergrad and got into fights with sc cholo fans each time. The UCLA cholo fans didn't want to fight along side me because shocker is as they called him a "mayate"
That's why Mexicans don't ever fight me... They can't beat blacks in fights. Remember Mayweather vs. Canelo lmbo
