Was rooting for you guys last night. You’re a trashy, garbage, shit fanbase like us and I like Nick Foles. I’m supposed to root for Mort Trubunskits because he grew up not far from me, but fuck him. E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES
I don't know man, how many teams are faking on 4th&1 from their own 30 down only 2 scores in the first half?
If they take the penalty and brees hits Thomas for 15 yards, then everyone is saying “omg I can’t believe they didn’t force 4th down on the Saints side of the 50.” Only mistake is not playing the fake, and I can only say that with the benefit of hindsight.
Schwartz and his soft ass zone has been garbage all season. No surprise that’s what killed them at the end
Hate it for Alshon. He’s been so big for us the last two years. Heck of a run for a team I left for dead going into the last month of the season. Even with a mangled roster they fought. Tough to see it end that way without a true chance to try and score there. Some valuable experience for those young DBs going into next year so it may help us. Very curious what we do on the DL with Graham and Long possibly gone. Barnett needs to recover and step up. Bennett was an excellent pick up. On offense they need to address running back because I don’t see Ajayi coming back unless it’s on a prove it deal and don’t feel too confident in anyone else.
Not many but I was yelling at the TV when they lined up that it was a fake. It did look like they were set up in a base defense to try and stuff it as opposed to a normal punt return formation. Oh well. Big call and it paid off for Payton
Agree on everything but the young DBs. They aren’t good and likely won’t be. I think they’d have to invest on another corner early in the draft, especially since Jones is apparently softer than tissue paper. Graham is definitely not getting resigned unless he takes a major pay cut On offense they need to find another T somehow. Peters is washed
He had a few flashes but couldn’t stay within 10 yards of Thomas all game. Maybe that’s Schwartz’s scheme but he looks super stiff in the hips to me
I was surprised to not see any double moves on him that I remember. Then again NO is really more of a timing offense
We gave up 20 points to the Saints on the road. Can’t blame the defense. The game turned on the first Foles INT. Had Ertz and underthrew the ball. This team is so much fun to watch, especially after three years of Chip Kelly garbage. Go Andy.
I think the Saints are probably winning the Super Bowl. Had thought it going into the game, but never said it here or out loud, but if we would have won, we’d definitely be playing in the Super Bowl again. Until next year...
Also, if you include Foles two playoff starts, this is the final comparison to Wentz Foles - 7 starts: 69.2% completion, 7.07 Y/A, 10 TD, 8 INT Wentz - 11 starts, 69.6% completion, 7.67 Y/A, 21 TD, 7 INT - that equates to a 31 TD 10 INT season over 16 games Moral of the story, Wentz's upside remains enormous. Foles is limited somewhat without a good run game (look what Michel has done for Brady, for example). I'm excited with a whole offseason sans rehab what Doug and Press Taylor can do for him. If he gets just a fraction quicker on the release, he can become elite.
first of all great game on your end, especially your DL! I also would say that if I were to swap Payton (which I would never want) Pederson is damn high on my list, loved the playcalling on your end and the energy from the word go
Doug is a great coach and the players love playing for him. He was damn near in tears after the game last night.
