Season 2 was amazing, probably 3 of my 5 favorite episodes Zero to Murder in Sixty Seconds (S2) and Shawn and Gus in Drag (Racing) (S5). Both Fast the Furious inspired. Both amazing. Lights, Camera... Homicidio (S2) American Duos (S2) Six Feet Under the Sea (S3) Extradition: British Columbia (S4). Anything with Pierre is amazing. Dual Spires (S5). Just a perfect homage to Twin Peaks. Santa Barbarian Candidate (S7). Almost purely for the West Wing reference. All classics. Pretty hyped for tonight.
Is it streaming anywhere? I need a rewatch but I sold my dvd's and never replaced with blu ray like I intended.
I enjoyed it. There were some spots were it lagged but I thought they did a good job of appeasing long time Psych fans, while also making it easy to follow for people who haven’t seen the show. It was kind of a greatest hits deal but it was good.
I just started a rewatch this week and I searched Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and WatchUSA App with no success. Fortunately I still have it on DVD
this is Meatball's favorite show. I've caught bits and pieces of it here and there. the main guy insulted a woman by saying her haircut was the worst one he's seen since Joyce Hyser's in Just One of the Guys
Finally got around to seeing Psych 2 tonight. The proposal where Shawn's in the background with the hand gestures killed me.
LadyPokes has been forcing me to watch This is Us, and the one bright spot in that emotional train wreck was a surprise Lassie sighting in the later seasons.
It has to be weird for Roday and Lawson doing these movies considering they were a couple for pretty much the entire run of Psych. I think they broke up around the time of the final season, and then she got married for a few years.
Saw this the other day. Think they really underrated a few of my favorites (especially Weekend Warriors and Bounty Hunters), but just reading through the list took me down memory lane on so many episodes I haven't seen in a while. https://www.vulture.com/article/best-psych-episodes-ranked.html
I don't care that the Weekend Warriors episode had a stupid plot. Shawn walking into Gus' office in full Civil War uniform and saying "I've been promoted. It's Captain Crunch" is when I was in on the show for life.
The White Collar thread has been archived and I'm guessing there isn't enough interest to start a thread on the TV board so I figured I'd throw this in here. I've been watching White Collar again on Hulu the last few weeks. The first two seasons were so good. I'll never really understand the Kate stuff, but it's fantastic. Not sure I'll keep going because I didn't love the last four seasons, but just figured I'd throw it out there in case anyone else has done a rewatch recently. Also, there was some stuff back in May from the creator of the show and Bomer that they're legitimately talking about bringing the show back in some way. Haven't seen anything since then, and not sure if they'd try the Psych movie route or just try to pick it back up as a show.
The stuff after season 2 always felt forced to me because they had to keep creating conflict between Neal and Peter. They kind of lost me on the art collection in season 3. Still a lot of very good episodes and I loved the characters. I just didn't like some of the arcs they did.
I agree with you. It got old. I hated the wishy washy trust and then no trust. I loved all the characters as well. I know a lot of people didn't like the ending but I did.
I liked the ending. My only question was whether Mozzie knew. He may not have at the start, but it seemed like he knew before Peter based on the queen at the end. It is kind of a weird show to watch back. It seemed like a really smart show when it started, but re-watching that first season and there's some weird stuff there. The entire Kate/Fowler story makes zero sense to me, and there's so much stuff in that first season where Peter would be fired for being a dirty cop and Neal would be back in prison if they just checked his anklet once. I still love it for the characters, but I kind of remembered it being smarter than it was early on.
Haven’t seen all the movies yet, but Lassie’s ending on the series is one of my favorite television moments
