I never received an email one way or another. I'll just assume I was so low on the selection list they didn't even bother with a rejection.
I'm still in line for the Saturday queue on the laptop but was able to grab 2 for Friday on my mobile. I joined the Saturday queue first. I'd guess resale goes nuts the next week or so but hopefully calms down. Sucks they don't have room to add a Thurs or Sunday show to the mix. Sorry you missed out :(
Fuck it. Just bought two on Vivid Seats. They were already as low as what I paid for red rocks, so I figured they wouldn’t come down too much more.
Probably just a matter of time before they did. One of the early interviews with Felker after he got sober had him mentioning writing music again I thought. That was well over a year before he surfaced
Whiskey Myers is playing Westfair the next night with Shane Smith & The Saints. I am going to have myself a fucking weekend boys.
Spoiler: for the nobody cares Freak part Sheridan sent me down a rabbit whole of country stuff so I’m reading Lonesome Dove(also are at the Austin location) last summer Anyone know where to point me for wordless country comparable to the first 8 of Tyler Childer’s Long Violent history tracks to listen to while I read
I dunno about comparable to Tyler given he had a lot of fiddle on that record but Chet Atkins is probably the most well known country instrumentalist with his guitar.
Welp just booked VIP pit tix for both the Turnpike/Steve Earle and Whisky/Shane Smith shows on back to back nights in Council Bluffs. Fuck yes.
I think we're going to see TT touring a lot less and not 300+ nights. Plenty of time for side projects.
I can’t imagine starting with a shitty Taylor Sheridan show and ending up reading Lonesome Dove. What a blessing for you.
We'd probably be down. With it being GA, I'd imagine we're going to go in pretty close to when they open the doors.
I’m in. I have a seat but I have to get to the merch table before the posters sell out. Thinking one of the parking lots at Red Rocks?
In classic Felker fashion, the more I listen to this the better it gets. Seems to be a very personal song about his wife, his fall from grace, and his road to redemption in Texas. Also, Cat in the Rain is Hemingway short story about a lonely wife trying to save her shitty husband.
