just got done watching Wrath of Khan, feeling a little pumped...alright fellow nerds, let's do this ummmmm....now what?
Wrath of Khan. KHAAAAAAN! Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan fan shouts KHAAAAAN!!! Seinfeld - Wrath of Khan
So I've hears that there is a theory out there that Decker in Blade Runner was actually a replicant. Anyone heard this? Any thoughts on it? I really don't see it in the movie but could kinda see it in the book.

Anybody seen Moon? http://m.imdb.com/title/tt1182345/ Pretty good one that it seems not a whole lot have seen or even heard of. I recommend giving it a watch.
I enjoyed it. I'm a big Sam Rockwell fan, though. Also, I just wanted to be the first to mention The Fifth Element for the good of the thread. Figured you'd appreciate it.
Holy shit, I had all intentions to watch that yet somehow let it fall by the wayside. Gonna get it on Netflix asap.
I'm guessing you didn't like the other ones if you believe this. 2, and 3 are better to me. I also liked the last original movie they made, but I don't think it's better than the newest one.
very good movie. pandorum was an awesome movie too. If you haven't seen it i recommend you do so... Pandorum - Official Trailer [HD] btw, am i the only one excited about the riddick movie that is supposed to be in the works since fast five is out?
I actually really enjoyed Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick. When is the release date of the third?
not sure but this website says it is supposed to start filming shortly after fast five was released so i hope soon enough. http://riddick-3-movie-trailer.blogspot.com/
thought Pitch Black was kinda meh but was pleasantly surprised with Chronicles of Riddick...hadn't heard anything about a third installment but I've been focusing more on new releases yet to come out this summer/fall like Apollo 18, Cowboys and Aliens, The Thing prequel, and Now
Alright, im gonna pimp this movie one more time because i don't think its getting its due. Pandorum is one of the best Sci-Fi movies in the past couple years. if you haven't seen it you need to check it out... has anyone else seen this movie?
I liked Pitch Black and the Chronicles of Riddick, I understand that both movies are both totally different and thus can't be compared to one another. Does anyone here know there is a Pitch Black semi prequel called Into Pitch Black?
How do y'all feel about Equilibrium? I mentioned it in a few other threads. I love dystopian sci-fi, both books and movies.
Agree that both are different yet awesome. I hadn't heard of the prequel, but found this on Wiki: "Into Pitch Black Into Pitch Black is a Sci-Fi channel special which aired before Pitch Black, and was about lawmen investigating Riddick's past as well as an investigation into the crash of the Hunter Gratzner (the spaceship from Pitch Black). It is considered a rarity now, and is only available on Region 2 copies of the Pitch Black DVD. It shows several inconsistencies with the official canon of the franchise, and might be possibly retconned by the other movies and video games."
It was good but Event Horizon was better. They are both movies in the same vein and EH just did it first and better.
I watched EH recently for the first time since I was a freshman in high school. I remembered it being totally awesome from the first time I watched it, but the second time around it seemed sort of hokey. Anyone else feel that way?
Well, I kinda feel that way about every horror/suspense movie. I still watch EH if I see it on though.
the only thing that really seemed hokey was Weir being brought back to life by the ship...I can think of much more egregious plot holes in other sci fi flicks. EH is probably 9.25/10 in my book. Would've been a 10/10 if they had been able to incorporate a Joely Richardson/Kathleen Quinlan scissor scene into the screenplay
what's not to love?? Mechagodzilla is a combination of two of my favorite things; Robots and giant fucking lizards with atomic breath
that was actually scottblue bait. My honest take on Gentleman Broncos is it was a meh movie with some funny lines delivered by Sam Rockwell and some craptastic special fx like the Battle Stag gif. I find it mildly amusing that every single person I have recommended it to has thought it sucked balls. I don't go out of my way to watch it via Netflix or anything but if its on cable and the Tigers aren't playing, I'll watch.
allow me to amplify my stance on GB. I liked it , I really did...W/O ruining it for you, one of the plotlines is this kid who writes a sci-fi book that later gets plagiarized and altered by his idol ( a famous sci-fi author who after a couple of turd books is this close to being dropped by his publisher) As various people read from the book, it's acted out by Sam Rockwell aided by some "so crappy its good" special effects like the Battle Stags...the alterations made are pretty funny too. As far as the rest of the movie goes, like I said its pretty meh. It was directed by Jared Hess and he tries really hard to re-capture the social awkwardness of his characters ala Napoleon Dynamite and it seemed really forced. This movie is notorious on the Rivals' Michigan board beacuse I appear to be the only guy over there who didn't think it was a complete turd. Me bringing it up in the 1st place had two agendas...1.)recommending it to a Sam Rockwell fan and 2.)trolling scottblue and to a lesser extent kywolverine because they thought the flick was dogcrap
Its nothing great but is a bloody satanic rape ritual. Most people miss it when watching normal speed. Everyone thinks its folks getting murdered but it is some kind of orgy murder. Not worth going out of your way to do, but worth checking out if you happen to be watching.
