The one thing I liked about the movie as opposed to the book was the 5 min postscript. The book , for me, was frenetic at the end and then just stopped. The "closure" was good to have
at least this guy seems to actually like star trek, which is more than can be said about abrams and co.
The last thing he did, Hannibal, was one of the best things on TV. Plus I think he was involved in previous ST shows. Ive never been into star trek. The movies were fun, but never cared for the TV shows. I'll probably try again w this one.
Ummm... I hate this idea already. 23 JUMP STREET/MEN IN BLACK CROSSOVER MOVING FORWARD AT SONY ALEX OSBORN - Following prior reports of Sony's plans to merge the popular 21 Jump Street and Men in Black franchises in a new crossover film, it appears the studio is moving forward on the project. According to Variety, sources have told the outlet that James Bobin (The Muppets) is currently in talks to direct the movie, replacing Phil Lord and Chris Miller—the directors of 21 Jump Street and its sequel—who are busy preparing to helm the Han Solo standalone film. According to Variety's sources, the studio has yet to officially greenlight the project, but is looking to begin production in June. While Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum will return to star as Jenko and Schmidt, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones won't be back to play their iconic Men in Black characters Agent Jay and Agent Kay. Instead, Sony is looking to reboot Men in Black with a cast of younger actors. In addition to the upcoming crossover, word leaked last spring that the studio was also developing a female-centric Jump Street spin-off, with Lucia Aniello and Paul Downs attached to write. There's no word yet on if that project is still in the works.
Agreed and MIB is not in the pantheon of untouchable movies. The first one was good, but you want to reboot? Go for it.
Finally saw Chappie. I honestly don't recall what was going on in my life at the time it was released. I enjoyed it. I honestly only knew 4 cast members and that made it enjoyable. Then I found out about Die Antwoord. Saw their video for Cookie Thumper. That was a mistake. Also still haven't seen Self/Less nor Ex Machina. Don't judge me guys.
If you didn't like the TV shows and you enjoyed JJ's movies I wouldn't waste my time if I were you. I have a feeling and hope they'll be trying to get back to what traditional Trek is.
About damn time. Obviously I didn't care enough to look it up, but I was thinking about how long it's been just this week.
So, a long time ago, lost in the crash I'm sure, some of you told me that Gaius Balter would end up being an awesome character. When you said that, you were just fucking with me right? I can see that now. Haha, very funny. Gaius is the fucking worst.
The only movies worth watching are 2,3, and 4 for the Trilogy that ends at 4 and then 6. I refuse to watch 1 and 5, just awful movies.
Netflix ordered a Lost in Space remake: http://tvline.com/2016/06/29/lost-in-space-remake-series-order-netflix/
Codename Duchess YouTube is still wonky if this is the same trailer I apologize. Looks amazing. Arrival, with Amy Adams. youtube.com/watch?v=tFMo3UJ4B4g
Was such a huge fan of the movie. Always wanted them to continue the story in movies. Think I watched a few episodes of the show.
I had a few drinks in me and laughed a few times and enjoyed some of the art design. That being said, I won't defend a single frame of that movie.
