my guy is in awe over the letter S
Logo is dope
that anchor/needle logo woooooo boi
What’s Kraken soulfly?
The fucking Kraken?
From an area of the country that has such a rich culture and tradition, we bring you "completely unrelated!"
All I gotta say is what up, what’s kraken, all you haters should get at me
how on earth did you think I could manage to drink so much? ;)
I can’t get over how sick those colors are
the marketing person was saying how the Great Pacific Octopus and the King Octopus Legend under the Narrows Bridge (????) made the Kraken an easy choice bc they "were probably descended from it"
whatever the color scheme and logos are ridic so it's fine
I think it looks great.
Big fan. Wonder what they'll be renamed in OKC
At least they kept the Seattle spirit alive and abandoned you guys when they assembled three of the best players in the league.
We added in the special Okie touch of owner suicide though
That Anchor/Needle is amazing
Was hoping for more local name. Like geoducks
welcome to the official kraken thread you are all day one supporters
It’d make zero sense with sensible options on the table.
Embarrassing. Already feel bad for you and soulfly
A mythical North Atlantic sea monster for a team on the other side of the world? Might as well go with kangaroos.
cool video tho
This guy thinks kangaroos aren't real
acknowledge that the colors and logos own pls
We’re the blue barracudas
It’s not that off base. It’s Scandinavian folklore and there’s a lot of Scandinavian roots in Seattle
so the Red Wings are named after men who eat out women on their periods then
this is brutally correct as much as I hate it
You’re god damn right.
Fan of team names being more fun and goofy.
But that has nothing to do with Detroit!
So does Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Utah, Idaho, California, Maine, Michigan, Illinois. And with Seattle we are talking a very small percentage.
Washington ranks 7th per capita.
Sockeyes would have been better
Sockeyes sounds too much like Buckeyes to be any good imo
It’s a famous pastime of theirs.
with Seattle’s homeless population this makes too much sense
NYC resident Fancy: “This isn’t Seattle enough!”
Sockeyes does have a loser type of feel to it so it would have fit in with the Seattle sports culture
What am I missing other than they are both the letter S?
13th(?) post. A winner is you
thank you, Fremont! Very cool!
