Who do you think will be your next manager? I know who you want, but there seem to be a lot of names floating around at the moment. To be honest, I wish we had just kept Leonardo as a technical director and never promoted him to manager for that one season. I guess we wouldn't have signed Allegri if that were the case, but he has a good eye for South American talent and he's extremely popular with players.
For some reason I feel that Gasperini will be our next manager, although I think there is a chance we get Delio Rossi. There are rumors that we are just looking for a caretaker for one year because we have either Pep or AVB ligned up to take the job next summer. I feel this may be true because we weren't going to renew Leo next summer, and at the end of the season Pep was linked a lot to us, and AVB was at our matches
Update from Sky: -Inter are going to go all out for Villas Boas -Could ask PSG to help pay AVB 15 million euro buyout clause as compensation for Leo -Chelsea could soon be after AVB despite numerous contacts recently with Hiddink -Inter are going to go after Hiddink if AVB goes to Chelsea this makes me all warm and fuzzy inside
Portugese paper says AVB has said no to both Chelsea and Inter. GdS says Moratti wants AVB at all costs, and Marco Branca flew to Portugal today to try and convince AVB to join Inter Also, Sulley Muntari is close to leaving Inter for 10 million euros to Galatasaray
from inter.it: MILAN – André Villas Boas will not be the next Inter coach, partly but not only because of the release clause that ties him to Porto - Nerazzurri technical director Marco Branca has told ANSA. "I feel I should make this clear," explained Branca, "because understandably everything started with comments in the media. However, everyone in the world of football is aware of the ties Villas Boas has with Porto and the inclusion in his contract, amongst other things, of a very high release clause, which excludes the possibility of him taking over as coach of Inter." According to sky our top target now is Luciano Spalletti, with our alternates being Miha(says he is staying at viola), Gasperini, and Delio Rossi
Aggressive negotiations I doubt Spalletti will leave... He seems content up in that frozen hell hole for some reason.
I'm starting to just ignore all the rumors. Zola's name came up today and that's just laughable. Moratti said the new manager must have confidence, charisma, and experience. Also he said Maicon, Sneijder, and Eto'o have told them they all want to stay. I'm pretty sure he didn't comment about Lucio however, who is having a hard time with negotiations and I believe it was said he is looking at other clubs. edit: seems like the new target it Capelllo, who was extremely close to signing for us last summer
this summer keeps getting worse by the hour, I also read that Capello can't come because he has problems with the England FA
So here is a brief summary of the stories sky has put out today, at least the ones I remember -Capello has said yes to a deal with Inter. However, the English FA won't let him go and Capello is upset -Inter have a meeting with Gasperini tomorrow -Inter have a surprise for their new manager, but sky can't figure out who -Sky are hearing it could be a German
So I retract my post on Viviano Looks like Roma has an agreement with Bologna, now just needs to get Inter to not be gay
to give you some hope, I could see Moratti offering you our half of Viviano in a deal IF we go after Vucinic, but there are so many rumors, and we don't have a manager, so I don't really know who we're going to go after. Also some people in the organization like Francesco Bardi's potential more, and he is only 19 so he could develop more while Cesar grows older
Juvetus, Inter, Jews and everyone else can stay the fuck away from Mirko unless they I am hoping he changes his mind and stays with Roma forever
how many Americans are you gonna be linked with this summer gaknight? from what I can remember you've been linked with: Donovan Chandler? Bradley and now Jermaine Jones Can't say I recall seeing this many Americans rumored to Serie A, but I guess that's what happens when you have an American owner
It's reported that 4 million seperate Inter and Bologna over Viviano. Last I heard Bologna want 10 million for their 50% which means, Inter are offering around 6 million. If a deal isn't reachbled it will go to blind envelopes on Friday
Astori looks like its going to the envelope on friday well fuck me......... No it wont Looks like Milan will be getting 4m for his 2nd half.
Also looks like Amelia for Marchetti exchange was worked out in those negotiations just need the players to agree
Marchetti is going to need his confidence boosted back up. But I think he is super talented and can be a #1 soon enough
Bologna's VP says that they won't go to envelopes with Inter over Viviano. Sky is reporting that Gasperini will be Inter's new manager.
Looks like the only thing lacking is the official statement from both clubs... Roma is going to pay Milan in three installments over the next three years: 3.5M, 3.5M, and 3M. I've never been blown away by Astori, and frankly we have torched him whenever Milan has faced Cagliari, so I'm not sad to see him sold. Don't know how I feel about exchanging Amelia and Marchetti.. They were both supposed to be the next great Italian GK after Buffon but they have both failed to live up to their promise. Doesn't matter at the moment given the fact that Abbiati will probably be our starting keeper for the next two or three seasons (best keeper in Italy last season), but we'll see what happens when Abbiati retires.
Mexes is 29 and will likely struggle this year with the knee. Nesta should be gone after this year especially if we win the CL Milan really need to buy a young CB to pair with Silva. If not this year then for sure next summer. Shocker gut feeling on who Mr. X is?
Well, Mexes is in the right position with Milan this year to recover from his knee injury and then we will be able to evaluate his progress before next season. If he makes a decent recovery, then I see no reason why he can't replace Nesta for two or three years as he will only be 30 and would be partnering one of the best CB's in the world... I could still see us buying a promising young CB next season, but not this year + management clearly didn't believe Astori was a long-term solution. I've seen this Mr. X bullshit happen every year since the summer of 2007 when everyone was convinced "Mr. X" was going to be Totti. I don't buy into any of what has been said by Galliani or anyone in the media this point... I think it's obvious that Allegri would pick Hamsik if he could have anyone in Italy, but comments in the last two days by both Milan and Napoli suggest that is not in the cards. The only player I have any confidence in us signing at this point is Ganso, which of course depends on the FIGC's ruling later this month on the number of non-EU players that clubs are allowed to sign/season. He is the only player that Galliani has not denied being interested in... I think a deal is already in place with Ganso and the company that owns 45% of his rights, which means a deal with Santos is imminent given the fact that Milan basically owns 55% of him (company owns 45%, Ganso owns 10% of himself in this crazy world).
Let's be honest a 50% Mexes still shits on Astori. Mexes has been one of the most underrated Cb's in the world for years and consistent which cant be said for Juan or Burdisso.
I think Roma's struggles in recent years put a lot of pressure on him, which led to some mistakes, but he was an absolutely fantastic signing, IMO. Of course, the knee injury is a concern, but he will have plenty of time to heal and get back into shape this coming season. Abate-Mexes-Silva-Taiwo ^I will not even consider complaining if that is our starting defense in 2012/2013.
Yeah Juan is more talented(imo) but I am sure Mexes got tired of him having shit games 1 out of every 3 weeks.
GdS says Inter will give Bologna 5.5 million, all of Khrin, and Coutinho on loan for the other half of Viviano. Viviano then is likely to be loaned to Roma, they also say Santon could be loaned to Roma. It hurts giving away Khrin, I missed seeing his beautiful face everyday at Inter last season...at least I still get to see it on Facebook
Hopefully Roma buys(no loan) Santon from Inter just because I know you will cry, so it would be worth it.
I wouldn't even come close to crying. Would cry about Khrin and Crisetig long before I ever cried about Santon
