With 3 competitions we will have to sign at least 1 or 2 midfielders just to have solid depth. It seems like Zusi, rosell, and Joseph or nagamura will be the main 3. Still want another striker if Sapong or Bunbury don't step up.
rumors on fox soccer that qpr and southampton are looking at besler would really suck for us but i would be really happy if he got a shot overseas this is the only link i could find though: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...e-for-American-star-defender-Matt-Besler.html
to look at the big picture, it's awesome that MLS players are getting serious looks from big european clubs
yeah, i'm guessing that's mostly because they're being brought in as prospects who are outside of the club's academy
KEI KAMARA @keikamara @KJ9nes & @MauriceEdu jamming to @justinbieber on their way 2 Birmingham. I knew I wasn't the only Male #BieberFan in the 20s#HugItOut guys Why is Kei in Birmingham?
and i get my answer 20m later on twitter Sporting Kansas City has announced that their star striker Kei Kamara is training with Stoke City. Typically these sort of trials don’t result in anything, but it’s a golden opportunity for Sierra Leone striker to show what he’s capable of in front of Stoke manager Tony Pulis. Do you think Kamara has what it takes to play in the Premier League? Post your opinions in the comments section below.
Stoke City criteria: 1) Are you tall? 2) If not, are you thug? 3) If neither, can you do long throw ins?
As long as he is good offensively and somewhere close to Espinoza defensively he will be good. He could allow us to move Zusi around more regularly. I like the pickup. May still want to get another striker depending on bunbury's knee.
Just realized I know Besler's gf Also know a girl that used to bang Kei, but has since moved on to Chiefs players
Sporting KC announced that they acquired centerback Ike Opara from the San Jose Earthquakes in exchange for their natural second round pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft. like it
How many rounds are there in the draft? Cause if there are only 2 then we already traded away all our picks. I don't mind it since we are bringing in quality known commodities.
pretty nice article about besler http://www.sportingkc.com/news/2012/12/home-good-besler-turns-down-euro-trials-kc
I have liked everything about SKC's offseason except Espinoza leaving (cant blame him though, still a fan and we have his rights if he ever comes back to MLS). Glad we signed another striker.
@SportingKC: JUST IN: #SportingKC's @gzusi, @mbesler, & @b_feilhaber22 named to #USMNT roster for January Camp http://t.co/OBEthXKZ Nice to see Besler getting some USMNT love.
I still haven't been to a game at the new stadium, now that I am close, i will make it back for at least 1 game this year

SKC announced a partnership with Orlando City Spoiler Sporting Kansas City (Major League Soccer) and Orlando City (USL PRO) have entered into a two-year partnership announced on Wednesday, with the Lions becoming the official USL PRO affiliate of Sporting KC. The landmark agreement made by the two clubs kicks off an important stepping stone in the U.S. Soccer pyramid, with MLS reserve players to be integrated into USL PRO play beginning in 2013. "We are fortunate Orlando City has agreed to partner with us in this new, groundbreaking opportunity. They are a first-class club and this will be a great partnership for both organizations," Sporting Kansas City Manager Peter Vermes said. "It will provide beneficial opportunities for our players to develop within a competitive environment for a tremendous organization and fanbase. Together, our shared vision for this affiliation made it easy for us to enter into the opportunity." Starting with an announcement earlier today via the two leagues, MLS teams now have the chance to partner with USL PRO clubs. As an official affiliate, Orlando City will retain a minimum of four Sporting KC players for development throughout the USL PRO regular season. Those players would then get playing time, in preparation to be called up by their MLS club. The four reserve players Sporting will send to Orlando for the 2013 season have not yet been announced. Both clubs are known to be top-level organizations within their respective leagues, making for a logical partnership. Sporting Kansas City began developing a strong relationship with Orlando City Soccer Club during the team's 2012 pre-season trip to Orlando, where the team will return next month for the 2013 Disney Pro Soccer Classic. The teams met in the Third Round of the 2012 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at Sporting Park and have remained in regular communication over the last several months foropportunities to develop a more meaningful professional partnership. In addition to providing loan opportunities for select Sporting Kansas City reserve players, the technical staffs from both teams will pursue several strategic initiatives such as joint coaching seminars, business endeavors, scouting mechanisms and access to facilities. These efforts would strive to be mutually beneficial for both clubs and serve to build upon the foundation that has been established. "We are excited to begin our partnership with one of the greatest MLS brands, Sporting KC," said Orlando City President Phil Rawlins. "We believe the integration of USL and MLS will go down as an important day in the history of the American soccer pyramid."
