Back to the thread. The Kansas City team was never on my radar screen when you played on the baseball field. After evolving into SKC that changed. I really enjoyed the brutal matches a few years ago when these were the two best teams in MLS. This time around I’m just surprised RSL made it past the knock-out round. I’m not expecting a very competitive game tomorrow.
From what I saw earlier Sporting was by far the highest favored. Think they were -280. RBs were -150. Atl -120.
I used to go to the games at arrowhead. Those games were pure shit just because of playing in a 70k stadium. I went to one game at the ball park in KCK when I was at kstate and it was just awful. I can appreciate the small market teams struggle. Scotch sucks though.
We were shocked when MLS granted the franchise to Salt Lake. We first played at the University of Utah’s football stadium. It was a terrible venue and had an awful artificial turf laid on concrete or cement.
Dan. I was still in high school. I do like the smaller market teams succeeding though. Good for the league and the game. But fuck real salt lake tomorrow.
For serious. If it wasn’t for the Benny v Beckerman. The pre season brawl. The over contentious matches. The MLS cup match. The disgusting fans. Etc. RSL wouldn’t be so despicable.
The two clubs had similar personas. There was an immediate dislike on both sides because of it. When Failheffer and the Frenchy walking red card who never got one left SKC the tension decreased...a lot.
OMG, remember when you could get O’malleys Drop kick ale in pitchers in the members club? God damn that would go down nice in this weather.
Bringing in budwesier was a damn shame. Had all you could drink bud landing seats and beer list was tragic. Smdh
Not at all. It was all macro bud products. The food was meh also. My friend bought a house and realtor gave tix for free. Would have been pissed to pay $85 tbqh
Damn. When we sat there for 2011 and 12 it was just bud light and bud heavy but they only cost $45 a game. I thought part of the price increase was they were supposed to have better food (used to just have brats, dogs, nachos, pretzels).
Thats all they had for food.. Maybe tickets were $75 i forget. It was almost Royals dollar night hotdog quality
Man, I thought I read every game was supposed to have 1 “featured item” like a burnt end sandwich or pizza or real nachos not just chips and cold cheese.
Maybe it was nachos, but it just had a self serve nacho bar with hot cheese machine. Still was food court quality. No pizza, burnt ends, etc
