I haven’t really checked to see how Denver is doing lately, but I could see us going to a vaccine requirement at red rocks which would be fine.
For sure. Band is great and I think they will be biggest “jam” band other than Phish or GD. Every fan base has these fans and they are awful. I do think Goose will eventually pass fan numbers of SCI, Widespread, UM, etc.
Ha. Love me some goose, but I’m a firm believer that music is subjective and enjoy what you like. Hate the whole my band is better than your band culture
Yeah, love that peach fest set. Wirless, Carry On, Shadow pt2 is a great little 3 song run from that set.
Why do jam bands have the worst names though? For some reason the name Eggy just turns me off (and as shitty as it is to say, part of why I haven't really given them a chance). Same with the Magic Beans. Ultraviolet Hippopotamus is still my favorite jam band name ever.
Where all my southern leg tour folks at?! Everybody squared away on tickets and what not? Good to go? Kicking it off with a home town show feels fucking good. Lets do the damn thing.
Oak Mountain > Alpharetta > Nashville. Then Dicks to close things out. My brother is doing Deer Creek as well, but my niece is being baptized that weekend
Have no expectations for Arkansas and little for Oak Mountain. Things should pick up in Alpharetta and be scorching for Dicks. Debating what I’m going to do as far as masking goes. I’m fully vaxxed, and expect a large majority of the crowd will be as well, but being in the south plus hippies being the original anti-vaxxers gives me a little bit of nervousness.
Yeah, my musical expectations are pretty much rock bottom. I can’t go into this with any of those type of strings attached. I’m just looking to have a great time with old friends and family, celebrate life, and reignite a part of my soul that has laid dormant for about 2 years now. No big deal .
I’ve only been to two shows this year so far, but was nice to be back at them. Mine were Pod shows amd I actually really liked having my own space/private little area. Good to get those dancing shoes back on
Absolutely. They could play nothing but shitty new feel good Trey songs and I would still have a fucking blast.
Man I wish I could swing the Alpharetta shows I’m doing Dicks and Vegas so far. Thought about doing the Gorge, but don’t think it’s going to happen.
Only tix I have at this point is the gorge. I suspect they’ll be hard to find for Alpharetta. Not sure about oak mountain
Seeing over half of Goose’s fall tour sold out already is wild Feels like just yesterday Drew Swinney Esq John McGuirk and DUCKMOUTH were singing their praises telling everyone to check them out
Yeah. I mean I like the music and get the appeal, but kudos to their Marketing team, etc for keeping them relevant and putting out lots of content during lock down. Band really grew its fan base during it
Yeah. He’s real involved behind the scenes. He does of the sound engineering editing of videos and soundboards post shows. Dude seems to do it all.
I know in the past when I've listened to early tour shows they've been pretty meh. I remember one from Texas a few years ago specifically being rough. I'm hoping they bring the heat in Arkansas for first show in the state, first show back after the delay, etc. But I don't believe it'll be super crisp. Maybe just a big bust out *fingers crossed*
Opener will be interesting. Would probably put my money on one of these: DWD Everything’s Right GBOTT Simple Free
I’d add Party Time and Sigma Oasis Glide would probably be a bit too macabre …Trey would also likely butcher it
I thought Glide and Sigma as well but I decided they would both be a little too disrespectful. Or at least the band might find them to be for first song back.
Hope you get it. Carini was always one of the more reliable 3.0 jam vehicles. Don’t think that’ll change in 4.0.
People all over the internet love to call some huge opener. Never forget the huge letdown that Pigtail was a few years ago. It’ll probably end up being some rando, so I went with WB
Oof. The stones are fun but for a single day, no way. You can get lucky dip tickets to Stones shows and not pay over 150 for a pair. Granted those are probably all gone for upcoming shows, but point stands.
