Yep was searching for covers like crazy because that song is begging for a guitar solo and found this one
Not really jamband related, but saw Psychedelic Porn Crumpets last night. Between Tame Impala, Gizz, and this band, Australia has something going on with the psychedelic rock resurgence. Show was great - nice little outdoor venue in Dallas. Haven’t been to a show with a mosh pit and crowd surfing in years
clicked in excited to hear John Brown's Body/Glory Gloria Hallelujah interpolations. left satisfied btu for a different reason.
Posted this earlier in the Jazz thread but this was Superior music. I had no idea a harp could be played like that. It's possible the best banjo player in the world and the best harpist in the world are jamming jazz tunes together on the same stage. Drummer is a badass too. Highly recommend.
I just randomly got to chat a bit with Jake brownstein. I’m tripping and surely sounded like an idiot but it was cool

It’s a year for trios. Digging this one too https://liveforlivemusic.com/news/dtf-debut-lp-another-side-of-the-sound/
Expect to see these Phish dates announced this week: 9/12 Louisville (Bourbon & Beyond Fest previously announced) 9/13 Birmingham 9/14 Birmingham 9/16 Alpharetta 9/17 Alpharetta 9/19 Hampton 9/20 Hampton 9/21 Hampton
This isn't helping the inner monologue "you know you can listen to more than just Gin and Ghost" I already have on a regular basis.
Sly Stone deserves his own thread (someone start one) for his massive contribution to music and dank music specifically, but here's a gem. Sly on vocals and organ and Jerry on guitar
Family Affair not making the cut his live band was incredible. (lol this footage -- all the bands / acts on this video... just a pure powder fest. Also, Dickey Betts with Elvin Bishop )
Still waiting on the email. If I get shut out of the lotto, I’ll probably just snag a 2-day lawn pass since I’m rolling solo. Big fan of the lawn there and I’ll just go in early and get front row.
I admire you lotto warriors. I’m pretty dedicated to the pit and that’s never worked out for me in lotto so I just quit entering at some point. I’ll be submitting myself to another ticketbastard fiasco this week. But I plan to be at both Bham and just N2 Alpharetta.
