I have a pretty good 2nd half of 2025 lined up: July 18, Chicago - Phish July 19, Chicago - Phish July 20, Chicago - Phish Sep 13, Bham - Phish Sep 14, Bham - Phish Sep 17, Alpharetta - Phish Oct 24, Huntsville - Billy Strings Oct 25, Huntsville - Billy Strings
Prior to this year's Bham shows, I had quit entering the lotto because of continual disappointment and shitty seats. Entered the lotto this year. Got shitty seats (Sec. 207, a dozen rows up, a dozen seats in). Will not enter again.
Got the GA pit for both Alpharetta shows. I've always gotten seats or lawn for Alpharetta/Lakewood shows so this will be a first. I will admit to enjoying the lawn in previous years so I wouldn't be too bummed if that's what you got in the lotto.
There’s really not a part of Ameris that I don’t like. Pit is a very good size and always high energy, great experience. Lawn is one of the better lawns you will ever find, with a nice grade to it. I haven’t done pav there in a long time but everyone seems to speak highly of it. Just a great outdoor venue all around. And staff is always super nice. Even the lots are high quality with different experiences. Lot A provides a great shakedown experience. Lot C is way more chill and laid back with lots of grass. Even done the VIP lot some which was very convenient and fun as well.
Only problem is now that gen pop tickets on Ticketmaster have surge pricing (at least in arenas where seats are cheaper than GA)
FYI David Byrne just announced a new album and tour. Presale is on now code is SKYGUY. Just snagged two incredible balcony tickets for the Fox in December.
Picked up a repress of this from Noble. Shit rocks. Got a couple more of his on the way. Been impressed with them all.

Any luck on codes? I’ve seen 3 day Hamptons hit CoT already I’m still looking for a Charleston 3 day floor too
Celebrating. 2023 unofficial press. Since I’ve started collecting vinyl I’ve been focused on bluegrass/americana, soul, funk, jazz, garage/pysch, etc but starting to build Phish and Dead collections. Live Dead box sets are $$$$
Yeah. This is the album that got me. And early 90s tapes and CDs from friends that started a life of music collection through whatever medium there is at the time.
Those times had a big impact on me. Eventually became a burner and had mountains of .flac discs Got a freebie Bela Fleck / Sam Bush /Jerry Douglas Bluegrass Sessions show in a trade one time and it turned bluegrass from something I liked when Jerry did it to my #1. Ended up at this fest with a group traders from one of those Phish boards and went back 3-4 times
Speaking of garage/psych vinyl, I think I’ve got all of his psych repressings now. Spun Elias Hulk last night and it was unsurprisingly very good as well. The only one that wasn’t a hit so far was George Brigman Jungle Rot, it’s not bad but it’s even billed as a “bizarre, raw, brutal, acid fueled, fuzz guitar ripper”. I’ve spun the others multiple times. Maybe I need to dose more for that one. The rest he’s done seem to be harder post psych proto metal stuff but might keep grabbing them.
Bonnaroo having some bad weather and canceling sets. John McGuirk watching squeaky feet stream from Northlands today. Got them on my list to see
Do you know someone affected by nitrous oxide? https://join.classaction.org/nitrou...EGFPkcEWx3-qkvyJzj_aem_M3ztggtv1XekoVLp2P3Khg
DDCC stream at Northlands. It’s a shame Daniel is a B- singer at best. They do what they can harmonizing together and have gotten way better overall. I still like his voice, but if he had half the pipes as Billy I think they would be out of the small theatre seen by now. Musically they are on point.
