i want to go to SCI @ the hamptons or moogfest but nolaween is just soo much closer for me its not even funny. plus a bunch of friends are coming down so i thought i would just chill round here
check out that SCI show I just posted. Set 2 is one of my favorites I have heard in a long time. Sing a song into shine into glory chords is just sick.
know this should prob go in drug crew but just found out tribe is playing 2 day show in austin for halloween, will try my best to be there
Very surprised, they usaully get a decent crowd. Good for you though, I love seeing bands when there is only a handful of people there.
Taylor Hicks to be on Jamcruise, should be interesting to see an American Idol with a bunch of wooks at sea. Can't say I am looking foward to seeing him preform though. C'est Bon, Got any scoop on the late night Disco artist? Jeff Bujak, Nutricious, Wyllys, Gypsyphonic Disko? Plan on giving them a listen, but figured you may know more about them since they are more electronic type music/DJs
Taylor Hicks used to be in a panic cover band. He plays some good songs and he's friends with Panic. Dave Schools will be on jam cruise with ???Stockholm Syndrome??? and I'd bet they do some shit together.
Knew he like to sit in from time to time with that kind of stuff. When I saw John Mayer sit in with Govt Mule it was pretty good. I won't write Hicks off and give him a fair shake.
His stage presence bothers me, but thats probably because i'm a panic fan and they dont move much... anyways I've seen a video of him covering medicated goo by traffic and he did a good job
Been a little bit since a bump. Pretty good guitar solo in this moe song. moe. Lost Along the Way @ Club Quattro
You guys talking about the holidaze? Last time I looked it was totally sold out with a massive waiting list for any unclaimed tickets.
Pretty sure you guys are not moe. fans but they do one too. I would go to Mayan Holidaze for sure though, but would prefer JamCruise and Tropic moe down first. As much as yall like Bisco, you should try to get on that Holidaze. http://www.paradisegroove.com/moecon.php
They say you get to meet all the artist and hang out. I am going to register for the Ivan Neville poker tournment. My goal is to kick it with Bob Wier for a good 10 minutes at least.
yeah jam cruise looks great...fyi duck..been listening to old bisco for a last 2 weeks..i understand why you dig the new stuff..im kinda with you. but i just love it all around
Don't get me wrong, I still listen, but that 2000-2004 sound is more my speed. This was when I used to go see them at venues like Tipitinas. Makes me a little biast to the older stuff. I am still a fan, just not as much as I used to be. They used to be top 3 for me, but I guess my taste have changed a little over the years. They are still in my top 15 bands and I have said a bunch before that uncivilized area is one the greatest studio albums I own.
A little side story for the thread. Me and the Mrs. were in England for a trip and Yonder happened to be playing, so we went to check them out. There were only 7 people there. We decided to tell the band we came all the way from states just to see them. They played anything we requested and paid for all our drinks. They were so appreciative even though it was BS and we had a blast with them. Cool story Hansel.
i saw them in january up in bham...loved it. i am actually a jam enthusiast. Widespread was my first love. not a fan anymore. but i think it has more to do with the fact i don't have anyone worth going to those shows with. i have a group of friends that are into it but they are fratstars
bisco just fuses my love for jam with electronic music perfectly. tribe used to do it for me but not anymore. don't like any of the new shit they play...they can't play the old stuff cept for exactly how it sounds compared to their studio(biscuits actually change their shit up). listening to the old biscuits music is actually making me want to dig back into some Phish
Hard to beat 98-00 Phish. Some great shows over those years. Your feeling for STS9 sound like mine for Particle. Loved Particle up until about 2006. They are absolutley awful now and its a shame. There drummer Darren Pujalet is/was unreal. I love when Particle covers Denmark. Give song 2 a listen, this show actaully has decent sound quality. I would also recomend 13(I am sure you are familar with this one, but should be up your alley), 6, and 9-12 for the Golden Gator.
may help if I link it. http://www.archive.org/download/http://www.archive.org/details/particle2006-05-19.schoeps.flacf
