Thats a heavy Bluegrass scene. Railroad Earth, Emmit Nershi band and the Traveling McCoureys are all very good. I would actually prefer to see Emmit Nershi band over anyone there.
http://www.yonderharvestfestival.com/ http://www.yonderharvestfestival.com/2010/lineup.asp RRE would be sweet, heard them at waka. and keller williams.
harvest would be amazing, i might have to go idk if any of you have been in northwest ark in the fall, but its fucking breathtaking. and harvest is at the same site as wakarusa. gonna be some hardcore hippies out there.
haha yeah for sure. we caught mountain sprout at the backwoods stage at wakarusa and there was some folks out there that made the wooks look tame haha. people that obviously hadnt showed in months, didnt give a fuck, and were seriously off the grid, on everything

Little Feat 10. Greyboy Allstars 11. New Mastersounds 12. Particle(Suck now though) 13. Rolling Stones 14. The Animals 15. Any spin off the Dead such as Dark Star, Further, Phil Lesh and freinds.
Are we talking true live releases or just some show that was recorded and put on the web? Also can I include a release of some live stuff from the 70s that was remastered and released recently or does the concert have to come from 2000 and later?
I will go ahead and list studio albums. To hard to rank, but here are some of favorite studio albums. Not a whole lot of stuff out of studio that just wowed me. Plenty of live stuff out there I love though and that list will be much stronger. I am sure I am missing some, but here are a few studio albums that came to mind. New Mastersounds - This is what we do New Mastersounds - Ten Years On Sharon Jones and Dap Kings Naturally Lee Fields - My World Boombox - Visions of Backbeat.
I thought this was from the late 90's, but I just noticed it was a 2000 release. This is probably my favorite all time studio album. All tracks are solid from 1 till the end. Reid Genauer(Strangefolk, Assembly of Dust) is one of the best song writers I have listened to. May not be for everyone, but this one gets alot of play around my house. If you like jam/folk/rock i suggest you give it listen, it will grow on you. http://www.amazon.com/Weightless-Water-Strangefolk/dp/B00005Y7MB
Not quite jam but Duckmouth (or anyone else) have you heard Gov't Mule's newest album? Probably gonna go see them a week from tomorrow, but if the new album isn't good then I might skip it. YMSB is also playing but they're a little too bluegrassy for me.
Here is a list of some must own real live releases. Lots of good concerts I could list, but those are just uploaded shows from soundboards. Here are some true releases I enjoy. If I could list shows that are not true live releases my list would look different. Grateful Dead - Dicks Picks Vol 29. (Greatest live dead I have ever heard) Assembly of Dust - Live at the paradise rock club 12/30/04 moe. - Warts and All vol 3 Jerry Garcia Band - Pure Jerry July 29 and 30 1977 Jerry Garcia Band - Pure Jerry Vol 5 Merriweather Post Pavilon, Columbia MD Jerry Garcia Band - Pure Jerry Vol 9, Bay Area 78 Jerry Garcia Bankd - Pure Jerry, Keystone tapes 09/01/74 Jerry Garcia Band - Pure Jerry Vol 6 Warner Theater 03/18/78 Phish - Live in Brooklyn New Riders of the Purple Sage - New Years 2006 Lettuce - Live in Tokyo moe. - L
Have not heard the new album, but seen them live a few times and they are above average. Little to slow for me at times though. Its been a couple years since I have seen Yonder, but they always put on a good show.
How about some Steve Kimcok and Melvin Seals tongiht. Steve Kimock Crazy Engine - Crazy Engine - 7-11-2009 Steve Kimock - Crazy Engine 4/22/09 Visulite Theater Charlotte, NC JGB That's What Love Will Make You Do

Legion Of Mary - Harder They Come (1 of 2) - 04/19/75 Milwaukee Legion Of Mary - Harder They Come (2 of 2) - 04/19/75 Milwaukee Jerry Garcia - Mystery Train Legion Of Mary - That's What Love Will Make You Do
Going to see the Black Crows tommorow night. I am not a huge fan, but I enjoy them. It's free and drinks are free so should be a good time.
Jimmy Herring and Charlie Daniels duel, everybody should love this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwtYGjbccfM&feature=player_embedded#! Jimmy is so fucking good by the way
Pretty cool art for lots of bands that would make this thread. Check it out. http://www.frenchylive.com/gallery/live-music/
I like the maple leaf. Also flowtribe is pretty fun. My favorite is the Blue Nile on frenchman st. Great place to see a show. Also One Eyed Jacks is pretty cool too, but they are strict there. You can pretty much do whatever you want at the Blue Nile. Like the Maple Leaf these places are small and you can kick it with the band.
c'est bon, EOTO will be at tips Saturday the 23rd. I don't know how you feel about them, but if I am not mistaken you like stuff that has some house type feel to it.
Did not go, but the best thing in NOLA on Halloweekend would of been The New Mastersound opening up for Spread.
They were ok. I dont see how somebody could listen to more than an hour of them. Hardly any bridges or breakdowns in their songs. Dumpstafunk was the best, then new mastersounds, then DDBB as far as openers go. DDBB had this fat hype man with a front butt that was so damn annoying. He would walk around the stage when panic had them on to play with them and put the band members in awkward situations
Agree with this, they have some great songs, but just when you think they are going to melt your face they level off and just go back into the song. Ivan Neville puts on a good show. I plan on entering his poker tournment on Jamcruise. Dumpstafunk is some good people, I have hung with them before and after shows a few times and they are real easy going.
One thing that was strange about Dumpstafunk.... 1 guitar solo in their whole set and it was by the lead singer, not Ian Neville. What's the point of being a lead guitar player if you're not going to solo? They'd be a lot better if they had a solo in every song or every other song.
Tony Hall. Ivan gets all of the solos on the keys. Every once in awhile Ivan will come around and play the guitar and get his solo there. I have never seen Ian solo now that you mention it.
Does anyone have a link to a free, quality download of Panic Halloween or Phish's Waiting For Columbus Halloween cover?
My buddy emailed it to me, but it keeps fucking up on the download. You can give it a try though. http://megaupload.com/?d=2ROZJ23T I listened to the sample's on Phish's pay site and that shit was on point. I didn't realize Trey could play slide or in open tuning, but he pulled it off
Bought it and started it before your post. Nice looking out though. Also Feats Don't Fail Me Now is exceptional.
Bump. Does anyone have a link to a good free copy of either of these or want to upload one? I can reciprocate from my own collection. Also Duckmouth, how did you like The Black Crowes? I think they are the shit. Was Luther playing with them?
