If the pitching can hold up and the injuries stay away this team is legit and could do some impressive things. Springs was excellent again today. Just need to cut Fleming and promote Taj and we’re golden. Glas isn’t even healthy and the pitching has been excellent.
Give me Yonny over Fleming or an opener with Beeks taking 4-5 innings (if they don’t want to rush Taj) but please god no more Fleming
Anything is possible but goddamnit need everyone to step up with no McClanahan. Hate the idea of any hitters thinking they've gotta do more, only thing that can do is improve focus.
Can someone summarize the latest devastating development to affect one the few teams I have time to care about any more? All I can find is some disturbing innuendo on twitterx
Wanders girlfriend could get the free Wander hat on kids 14 and younger night. There are photos of him kissing her on Twitter but don't think it's worth sharing
Was joking since they played so bad yesterday but today is even worse. Frustrating they overcame a ton of shit this year to win 99 games and their postseason is over in two days barring a miracle.
Yeah I got nothing only read headline I just assumed the thinking behind the article was that teams would give something up in the thought that there's some possibility he'd be found not guilty or whatnot. Who doesn't love a little jury tampering?
St Pete stadium appears to be dead, always seemed like a longshot especially given the smaller tax base compared to Tampa. Sucks but the reality has always been that Hillsborough County taxpayers wouldn’t take on a big burden after Ray Jay was 100% taxpayer funded. Sternberg selling a portion to someone who’d finance most of the stadium cost is the only way forward in the Tampa Bay area. The Glazers are gonna be shaking down Tampa for a new stadium soon enough using the selling point that Ray Jay is outdated if we wanna have a chance at another Super Bowl. Hate to say it but if they're gonna go then go, don't need taxpayers on the hook for 2 massive projects.
They need to sell the team and move them to a location where baseball will work. Florida is for spring training.
Amazing to see the differences between Jeff Vinik and Sternberg despite their similar backgrounds as northeast hedge fund billionaires. Vinik would have had a stadium built 10 years ago. Sternberg can go watch his favorite team play (the Mets).
Baseball is a dying sport anyway. Any public money on the Tampa side would be better used building a new retractable roof stadium w FIFA dimensions for the Bucs. Tampa always gets great reviews hosting big events but has an outdated stadium. Fix that w a climate controlled roof and you’re hosting Super Bowls, Final 4s, International and Club soccer , & more concerts
