I've never been to one that isn't. One by the stadium sounds like an anomaly, which means it probably runs like your average McDonalds. Wendys tends to be the most consistently poorly run franchise from my recent experiences.
after 10 months of $36, Hillsborough County finally figured it out and billed me my normal water bill for the month . Was a good run.
We put in new sod in half the yard, so I was running the sprinklers in those areas a lot. But should be good to go now that we've made it to the rainy season.
We got anything on Wright's Gourmet being sold to nepotism boy Blake Casper? My mom used to work there, seemingly everyone loves the place even my co-workers who live in Brandon and Lakeland. Can't even imagine the price as the restaurant itself makes money plus absolute prime real estate.
there are some good food trucks. actual sit down type places are all just meh. im sure if DuffandMuff thought any places here were good, his opinion changed after he moved.
His parents owned a good portion of the McDonalds in the area. I have friends that are good friends with him. I was indifferent to him but then he screwed over some friends so dislike the guy now.
Yeah i've been going to that place since they were way up Dale Mabry. It's been hit or miss for me since they moved to Seminole Heights location.
It was definitely miss at first. The managed their kitchen horribly. I felt like they became a lot more consistent later.
Red Mesa Cantina was basic as hell but I did enjoy sitting in that courtyard. A few drinks and the vibes took over the “one flavor fits all plates” motto they had.
Missed originally, thanks Lawnole23. He owns Oxford Exchange/Stovall House among other stuff. Was great to see him lose the race for City Council. Former Texas governor Ann Richards description of W seems appropriate here, "He was born on third base and thought he hit a triple."
Usually they go right over my house in carrollwood, but they took a sharp turn after they got over the stadium? I heard them, but never saw them.
House I grew up in was basically right in line with the stadium, was always cool to see them fly right over on the way to Ray Jay.
Was just FaceTimed by one of my team that lives there two blocks from the gulf and without it hitting having two feet of standing water in the park past the sea wall seems suboptimal
Wobble toward Tampa is making me a bit nervous but Dellegato and Phillips still saying this won’t really affect things.
My in-laws in south Tampa are two streets off bayshore and their street is flooded up to the sidewalk and still rising. Two years ago with Ian they came to north Tampa to our house but stayed put this year. Starting to get nervous.
In-laws had a foot of water I. Their house as if 3am. Receded out now but street still flooded between MacDill and coachman. Hopefully can get down there later today and help them. They said their house smells like the bay.
Parents still don't have cable back (Spectrum), ridiculously minor in the scheme of things but seems crazy at this point.
Drove through a neighborhood in South Tampa today (took Estrella from Henderson to Westshore) and the number of houses that had mountains of damaged furniture/torn out drywall/doors/etc. on their front lawns was astonishing. Have a friend who has their kids enrolled in a Montessori school up by Bay Crest post that the school took in 3 ft of storm surge and is closed indefinitely. She is freaking out about what to do with her kids.
There's no chance I'm ever moving into a flood zone after this storm. We're going to face some seriously difficult questions about how we live in this region moving forward.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in this state. We live just south of Westchase now (Countryway). We're on their powergrid, which is probably why we never lose power during these storms. I *think* we're safe from storm surge outside of having the estern eye wall of a major hurricane come up the bay at high tide. I think if we ever moved, I'd want to live somewhere with more character. Unfortunately, pretty much all of those areas are in flood zones and/or full of buildings that aren't up to code. A new build in Safety Harbor or Seminole Heights would probably be the most ideal options. Unfortunately, I don't forsee my dream of winning to lotto, retiring, and relocating to somewhere like Colorado or Wyoming ever happening.
My sister is in Sunset Park and they got 32 inches of water in their house. Not sure what sense it makes to keep fixing it knowing another storm will flood it within a couple years
