Had someone invite me to some kind of sausage festival this weekend at this place called Caliente Club & Resort in Land O'Lakes? Would be cool to have a TMB meat-up there.
Hey friends. Looks like I will have a free day in your beautiful city in two weeks while there for work. Any recommendations on courses while out there? I have played the shittier of the world woods courses and streamsong when in the area. Many thanks in advance
Anyone have a special occasion restaurant they'd recommend? 10 yr anniversary is on November 19th. Tried to make a reservation at Berns, but there's nothing within 2.5 hours available of the time I'm looking for. We did Meat Market last year. Looking for a similar level of quality/experience. Went to Olivia last wknd. Was great. Want to try rocca On Swann is one of my favorites Hank Scorpio have you been to rooster and the till ?
Just unloaded the neighborhood pumpkin patch off a semi truck. Nothing says fall like unloading them in 150 degree trailer dying from heat exhaustion
Congrats. Our ten year is in April. Im not a fan of On Swann but it’s very popular and a lot of people love it. I like Oak & Ola at Armature Works. Rocca is good too.
Hank Scorpio did you try calling Berns? You could always book something else and then set up alerts on your phone through Opentable for Berns so when a table gets released you get a push notification. That’s how I always got my reservations there.
My wife looked at the menu and wanted to leave so we finished our cocktail and went to Timpano. This was about two years ago.
I have not. I'll give that a try. But at this point I'm leaning towards Black Pearl in Dunedin or The Kitchen in Safety Harbor. Haven't been to the Black Pearl but have heard great things. Just recently had a great experience at Kitchen.
Hey thread. Just started the process of moving to Tampa. My job is right downtown. So far our #1 desired area is South Tampa. Any opinions, recommendations, etc for a young family with kids? Trying not to be too far from downtown, not a fan of a long commute within 20 minutes would be ideal.
What exactly are you looking for besides the commute time? There are other areas that you can do downtown, even in rush hour in about that time
I'd say other top two priorities are just not being in a shithole area and having at least a decent elementary school. I hope to live in this house for some time but currently wife and Is record in one spot is 3 years so who the hell knows.
If you want to be close to downtown, in a non-shit hole with good public schools then South Tampa is your only real option. My MIL is a really good real estate agent if you need one. She'll give you a discount if you say you know me. PM me if you want her info. She's been the real estate agent for probably a dozen lawyers in my office.
Appreciate it, using SIL. And thanks for confirming what research and others have told us. Seems to be the best spot for what we want.
If you're able to send your kids to private or a countywide magnet, Seminole Heights could be another option. It's been years since that whole serial killer thing, so you're good!
I moved away from Tampa two years ago, you jerk! But if you’re willing to drive 45 minutes, you won’t find a better family-friendly location than Westchase.
Most convenient Publix is closing for a year for renovations Spoiler there are 2 other ones a mile away, those cash cows are everywhere
Every time we move and start going to a new Publix "oh, this might be the best Publix yet". Every time.
Our Publix is pretty much the size of a CVS but we hardly go to Publix anymore outside of pub subs or needing something here or there went to the new sprouts in Tampa heights last weekend. Pretty pumped they are so close now
Had one of the better ribeyes I've ever had tonight at Parkshore Grill. Did not love picking up the tab for my whole family but lovely dinner.
