We're in an apartment in the new Tampa area until the house gets built so we go to the one in Tampa palms.
Alfonso's in North Tampa off Florida Ave and Bearss has great pizza. Been there since the 70s. Usually get it at least a few times a month. In South Tampa, the pizza at Doormet is good for a non pizza only spot. I've never been, but co workers rave about Mirro's across the street from plant. Guy is only open for like 25 hours a week though.
I got Mirros a couple of weeks ago. Huge slices. I had to turn the box sideways to get it out the door. It's pretty decent NY style pizza. Not significantly different from E&S. If you're in that area it's worth getting but not worth a drive for it. I'm over in Sunset Park so I usually split up pizza night between Mirros and Cappys.
Same but I'm going to the gym today so that means I can eat 4 slices of pizza today if I want and it cancels each other out. I'm pretty sure that's how that works.
Cappy's is my favorite in Tampa but Uncle Maddio's by our house is really good. Wife and I get that every other week it seems.
Is it owned by the same people as the previous pizza place there (I can't remember the name)? That place was really good and had huge slices but closed around 2013 iirc.

(WFLA) - Tampa police are investigating a bomb threat made against Tampa International Airport after hackers took over Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn’s Twitter account Thursday morning. Thehackers tweeted a nonstop series of offensive racist and pornographic posts and claimed a bomb was in a package at TIA. Tampa police say they have found no credible threats in their investigation. The hackers appeared to take over the mayor’s Twitter account just before 4 a.m. with an initial post that said “Hacked by @MeeZoid @CxlvxnSwag @SheepKiller69 you can’t touch US ####.” Hackers changed Buckhorn’s cover and profile photos multiple times and at one point renamed the account “Bob Cuckhorn” with a bio that said “City of Tampa’s Mayor.White supremacist. Hater of #######.” In addition to the child porn, porn and racist tweets, the hackers also sent a tweet to Tampa International Airport, "@FlyTPA I have hidden a bomb in a package somewhere at the Tampa international airport. Looking forward to seeing some minorities die." The hackers also sent out a fake emergency alert, “EMERGENCY ALERT BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAD INBOUND TO TAMPA BAY AREA. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.” The hackers also tweeted this sexist comment, “There are times in life I feel like it was a mistake allowing women to think they are equals.” At one point, the hackers added a name and address to Mayor Buckhorn's profile and tweeted, "4157 Devonshire CT NE, Salem, Oregon, 97305, United States come get me guys im the hacker." WFLA 8 On Your Side has reached out to Mayor Buckhorn, his spokesperson and police. Mayor Buckhorn responded to WFLA 8 On Your Side and said he is out of state on a hunting trip and is working with his staff to get his Twitter account closed. Buckhorn's communications director Ashley Bauman released the following statement on Thursday morning: “Earlier this morning we noticed someone hacked Mayor Buckhorn’s Twitter account, this was clearly not Mayor Buckhorn. Upon noticing the hack we immediately began investigating these reprehensible tweets. We will work with Tampa Police department as well as all investigators to figure out how this breach was made. We urge residents to change their passwords and continue to alert officials when they see an unlikely change in account activity. We are working with law enforcement to investigate all threats made by this hack.” "Tampa Police are investigating a hack to Mayor Bob Buckhorn's Twitter account. The Mayor is aware of the hack. TPD detectives are working to determine who is behind the despicable messages. There are no known credible threats," said Tampa Police Department Spokesperson Steve Hegarty.
