What a win for Sakkari and Tsit over the Swiss. So much fun.
that was fantastic
They've got to figure out a way to keep Hopman Cup around.
what ive been saying for months since they announced its going away. Love this event, you can see how much it means to the players and how badly they want to win for their team/country. Zero ranking points and it means this much
Laver Cup and Hopman Cup are favorites for sure
This is so dumb. Can't some faction buy them out? You see that, packed stadium and then they flip to a match with 9 people in the crowd.
Im watching the match of mental midgets
Paire vs. Simon
Still popping that collar. #Starch
This Anismova/Kuzmova match, I have never seen wind affect the players like this. Anisimova can't even toss the ball for her serve. Shes all over the place
Anisimova has figured the wind out. She should be set and win this match now.
Anisimova has this wrapped up.
Wow Anisimova blew it. Literally looked like she had NO CHANCE in the 1st Set. 2nd Set looked like Kuzmova had no chance. Then Anisimova goes up a break, gets broken back and goes up a break 2-1 and consolidated the break to go up 3-1. Then she fell apart.
Genie up a break early on Goerges
She looks good.
I’m not getting my hopes up BUT against a top 15 player in goerges, she looks very good
She always looks good. Wind is giving her a mental breakdown now.
What a match. Even if she loses, she is on the track back to being a Top 20 player hopefully
That return at 40-all was so good.
Total Points Won heading in the 3rd Set Tiebreaker
Genie - 99
Goerges - 99
What a point.
WTF was that
She lost that match on that 2nd serve shitty return. Proud of her though
Surprised Goerges went that big on that 2nd serve return on match point. All even.
Fantastic match. Proud of Genie. Last 2 tournaments she looks to be creeping back to a good player again. Up to 79th
The great thing for her rankings wise is she’s basically defending no real points until like July. All free money coming up.
Aiava just got a WC into the Aussie.
Sabalenka rolling, 6-1 first set over Sharapova.
1. Sharapova retired down 1-6, 2-4 against Sabalenka with a thigh injury. Didn't matter, as she wasn't going to beat Saba even if healthy.
2. Is Jo-Willie back?? It's just Kokkinakis, Taro Daniel and a very good Alex De Minaur, but Tsonga looks like old Tsonga. He gets Medvedev next in the SF's in Brisbane.
Didn’t tsonga get a new coach in the off-season? Seems like it’s working dividends already
He did. Sergi Bruguera, who is the new Spanish Davis Cup team coach. Also won a couple French Open's.
had a very good career. Got to 3 French open finals in 5 years (winning 2 of course). Lost in the gold medal match at 1996 Olympics to Agassi as well as 2 Masters wins.
also I think famously pulled out of the Wimbledon after 1 or 2 of his French opens saying "grass sucks" or something like that
Wimbledon was so upset they told Bruguera to take a medical exam to "confirm his injury"
My memory is hazy since it's been a while but I always liked watching him on clay - played some really entertaining tennis.
Andreescu beats Venus now. Kid has some talent.
Djokovic looks on a different level today
Simon looking good against KA
Simon looks unreal right now. After being a set and a break down hes close to taking this 2nd set
RBA gets the 2nd Set Tiebreak on Nole
Simon is en fuego right now.
That shot by Simon was absolutely ridiculous
Djokovic down a break in the 3rd

RBA serving for the match now
RBA takes the match!
what a win from RBA
Wow. Never hurts to see Djoker lose matches unexpectedly to guys like this. If anything, it makes Melbourne just that little bit less predictable.
R1 at the Sydney International: Petra Kvitova vs. Aryna Sabalenka
Big upset in the Brisbane semis with Tsurenko spanking Osaka in straight.
