Any bars at the Banks will be packed (in between the Reds and Bengals stadiums), but good options.. Holy Grail, Tin Roof, Jefferson Social, etc. If you go up to 3rd street there is the Blind Pig and OMalleys in the Alley.

Are you parking in a lot near the stadium? If you just want to tailgate, Longworth hall is probably one of the most popular places to tailgate, and its a cash parking lot, you don't need a pass.

Tailgating is all pretty much on the west side of the stadium now due to the banks while the bars are all east or north of the stadium. Assuming you don't have a parking pass Longworth Hall is the best place to tailgate but you're going to need to get there at least a couple hours early to get a spot. All of the bars Baron listed are good spots for before or after the game and are within a five minute walk of the stadium.

Last night was damn near perfect. Didn't go to the game but was at the banks post game and the atmosphere was awesome. Only year in my life that compares to how much the city has gotten behind this team is 05. Older guys say it feels the same way it did in 81 and 88.

My brother in law has had a block of four season tickets with his dad and brothers since 1980 and said the same thing. As I mentioned above, when I left work yesterday, there were people everywhere.

My God, Mike Brown Might Be The Worst Owner In Sports [Update]

I know, they’re mostly all bad. But Jesus, get a load of this.

NFL owners ratified relocation of the Rams (and probably, eventually the Chargers) to Los Angeles by a vote of 30-2. One of the no votes likely came from the Raiders’ Mark Davis. The other, according to some informed speculation from Pro Football Talk’s source, may have come from Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown. [Update, see below.]

    The logic?

Brown has a well-documented reputation for refusing to go along with anything that helps the league become bigger and better. His primary concern in those situations is the impact of the new revenue on the salary cap.

So Brown prefers the status quo, especially when the status quo doesn’t require him to spend more money on players.

That’s incredible! Mike Brown literally doesn’t want the NFL to increase revenues (which it distributes more or less equally among all 32 teams) because that would raise the salary cap and the salary floor. You read that right, Bengals fans: your owner doesn’t want the league to make more money because that would force him to spend more money.

Congrats, Cincinnati. You have the single worst stadium deal in sports, and an owner to match.

Update, 3:52 p.m.: In a statement on Bengals.com, Mike Brown denies Pro Football Talk’s report and says he voted for the Inglewood proposal:

Brown, calling it “an exciting project for the league,” said he’s in favor of the plan crafted by Rams owner Stan Kroenke and voted for it along with the 29 other owners that approved the move in a secret ballot this week.

“Stan Kroenke has put together an exceptional plan. The league to a man is excited about this prospect,” Brown said Wednesday on his return from the meeting in Houston.

    From Lance's blog...

    http://www.700wlw.com/onair/lance-mcalister-7818/email-steelers-fan-in-town-calls-14284682/

    Emailer of the Day

I received this email from listener Andy. What is your reaction? Does he have a point?

    Lance:

I moved to the Cincinnati area in 1989. My kids were born and raised here and I love this area. Because I am not one of the locals, I brought with me my own sports loyalties that I developed when I was 12 and have maintained all my life. Because I was 12 in 1975 and I didn't live in a part of the country that had a professional sports team, my loyalty was developed for 2 teams that were at their peak at the time - the Cincinnati Reds (the Big Red Machine) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (the Steel Curtain).

I was excited when my wife and I had the chance to move here because I would have access to my favorite baseball team. I was OK with being in another team's football backyard.

For the last 10 years, I've seen the Bengals grow into a formidable opponent. They are a deeply talented team, and as I suspected, it's more fun around here when the Bengals are good. The fans are more energetic, and when they haven't been playing the Steelers, I can hope that they do well. I am proof that it is possible to cheer for both teams. Or it was.

The behavior of too many of the Bengals' fans this year has soured me.
They have become mean spirited and it appears to me to be focused nearly exclusively on my favorite team. I've heard fans that appear to be more enthused by a Pittsburgh loss than they are by a Bengals win. That's sad and it's a mentality that reflects a losing attitude (in my opinion).

And I'm disappointed that you and other members of the media are stoking that fire.

Your tweets and retweets yesterday feed the narrative that the Steelers losing is as important or more important than the Bengals winning. And Mr Lapham, who is more a super fan than a color analyst on the radio, has really added to that narrative. And you have been cheering him on to fan the flames more.

So, for now, I've had enough. Because of fans and media like you and Lapham, I'm through trying to be supportive of the Bengals. The misery Bengals fans are experiencing is earned, and I will have no pity for it. I have no immediate quarrel with the team, but the fans are getting exactly what they deserve.

Because it is more painful than simply losing seasons, I will (privately) applaud another ten years of Bengals making and losing in the playoffs. I will be sure to remind the Bengals fans how pathetic their team's history has been.

I'm hopeful that this feeling will pass. I know it's better that I don't care at all what other people say or think, and I suspect I will get there again.

But for today, know that you and fans like you have turned away one of the people who tried to be considerate of Bengals despite not being a fan.

    -Andy

I don't get why we keep signing Tate back. The dude is a career WR5 and isn't good at returning kicks. Every 1-2 years we need to be drafting a WR in rounds 5-7 and hope we land a diamond in the rough, IMO.

I don't see the issue with Fuller. I loathe ND but I think he's pretty damn good. Only concern is that Dalton's arm strength kinda hurts his deep game, and his hands aren't exactly tremendous.
