Lowry hasn't committed to family stuff not interfering with his season but he looks in really good shape.
Spo hated coaching Hassan so much at the end that we are always the smallest team regardless who we play against lol. Unfortunately it’s not even a fast athletic small ball team we are slow asf. How is that even possible.
I knew he was going to take a 3 especially after making a equally shitty 3 pt attempt to win the Sac game smh. Man this team is hard to watch I don’t think we’ve ever had a enjoyable run it back team yet.
I’m not going to go that far you’re crazy, but it seems he’ll finally be right about Riley needing to retire already. I was listening to the basement postgame show and they were talking about how this team has double digit undrafted players on the roster and how annoyed Spo must be with this shit already. All the bums across the league that atleast had their names called on draft night but we constantly liter the roster with undrafted players. Such a misappropriation of salary cap money on this team.
Been saying it since the bubble run. I have no issue with the organization doubling down on its development program but not at the expense of roster balance. They’ve gone out of their way it seems to try and moneyball this franchise into a passable contender and have effectively wasted Jimmy’s prime in doing so. Couple that with blatant nepotism (signing Kyle because he’s boys with Jimmy) and grossly overvaluing your assets (not trading Duncan, resigning Herro, replacing PJ with Caleb or with a real 4) and it’s hard to really feel good about the direction of the franchise.

He lands behind where he jumped from because Jimmy initiated the contact and knocked him backward. I think it's probably called in the first 47 minutes of the game but it's not surprising they let it go in the last minute.

Like, we had to pay Herro this past summer. It's looking less and less likely he ever makes the jump we need him to but we had to pay him. The Robinson and Lowry contracts have probably insured Jimmy never gets his title, which sucks.
Night after night Herro isn’t even the best white player on the floor I really wish they would have just tried to trade him this summer while his stock was at its highest because it was clear that’s the best he would ever be. I wouldn’t even be mad if Jimmy demanded a trade this summer Riley has failed to deliver on getting any real help here other then adding undrafted chicken shit to the roster and telling Spo to turn it into Chic fil A.
Not gonna lie, if the story about Pat being asleep at the deadline which prevented the Lowry trade to the Clippers from happening is true, it's time for him to hang it up. Its the deadline, drink some cafecito and get it done.
so is the Herro contract he thing that finally gets Riley to retire? Could have sent him to Utah to be Lauri Markenen when teams still had interest in him on a rookie deal and coming off the 6th man award, instead he gives him a new contract while ignoring all his flaws that the heat coaches were able to see every day in practice and in games. Now he's being exposed night after night and he's about to get a big pay raise next season. It's not even the worst thing he's done the last 2 years but this was his get out of jail free card and completely botched it.
Riley bet on Herro taking the next step(you can be a defensive liability if you can be counted on for 25/night) but even his shot has been terribly streaky all year. His role last year might be his peak, which means he sure as hell isn't worth what we're paying him. But he's still good enough to be a contributing piece on this team...Duncan and Lowry are drastically bigger contract missteps at this point. The two of them and the plethora of d-leaguers littering our starting lineup need to all get gone. Love should be coming off the bench and he took over the starting spot because we have zero personnel worth starting over him.
I've said this for several years now and got scolded for it. Take away Wade and Riley would have/should have retired years ago. Shit, there was talk that he wanted to take Chris Kaman over him and had to be talked out of it.
