So Fuck y'all alla y'all. If you don't like me blow me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=cKK3Qb_2QSo
was just checking hotel prices and I goto Planet Hollywoods site, put in my dates and it comes to 330 for 3 nights, which is pretty cheap for weekend rates. I then put in my total rewards number and expecting it to be a really good deal and the room comes to 390
I'd call them and give them your cheaper quote. Might be able to work something out for you if you gamble at all.
Haha I'm going tomorrow!! I fully intend on on the plane out with my buddy, then when we land, we are gonna to PLanet Hollywood and meet up with our (Puerto Rican) friend. Then we plan on and some more then and, then going downtown to and then and . Then we might over for some . Then we will proceed to and for the rest of the night. Then tomorrow we will wake up and and then do it all again!! I will report back when I get back!
I just did and the guy was a douche he told me the 390 the online quote gave. the thing is I do gamble alot. the two times Ive been there I brought 1500 when I was 21 and 2500 last year for my 22. with gambling away most of my winnings which adds up to about 8k. last year I had the same dates my hotel came to 160 and july specials havent come out yet. my parents got 3 nights free at ceasars in march and I gamble more than them. Im not worried. also im 1500 miles away from a free plane ticket
How long ago were those trips? If you've been gambling that much I'm pretty shocked that you don't have a comped room. Have you been gambling at TR casions?
And I assume you drop your card when you play? I'm pretty stunned that you don't even have a discounted room.
always, im pretty ocd about it and when I reload I make sure they put in my next amount. its still 5 months away so im not worried
The ppl on the main reservation line arent able to do squat. I actually worked with Harrahs reaevations/info center back in the day...does TR still do the gold silver platinum tier system? If so ask to be xfered to VIP because "somethings wrong" with ur card. I think the problem is that tou dont play enough as far as time. Those cards "refresh" after the first year. If they refuse to xfer u then call the property directly and explain your situation to whomever will eventually listen. Michael Jordans rating on a three day trip in Atlantic City was $32k/hr Charles Barkley at Ak-Chin was $16k/hr Wayne Gretzky was $9k/hr (I dont remember his primary property)
A friend of mine just got back yesterday. He went to the Motley Crew show at the Hard Rock, then went over to the Crazy Horse tittie bar. Him and his wife ended up dropping $1,800 at this place http://www.ch3lv.com/
just booked my hotel for 1st/2nd rounds on priceline, got the trop for $120 a night. not great, but not bad, just an ok price. it seems that hotels are more expensive this year, for that weekend, that they have been in the past. one less thing to worry about though.
Love that game! was in LV a few years ago and played it with a couple of friends at some casino (cant even remember, but it was next to where the trump is now, its a dirt field) for a couple of hours, we got animated and built up a pretty good crowd around us. ended up losing $30 but was worth it.
A mechanical horse racing game. You feed it quarters and each race you bet the top 2 finishers. It makes new odds for each combo each race. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiXopHX6L0A
That is some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen. How do you logically pick a horse and how does it get fun (I'm going to assume it is better when drunk and people yelling)
It posts odds, and half the fun is the yelling and stuff. You never know what's going to happen. My buddy won a 50¢ 200:1 last trip which ended up leaving him about $120 ahead on a $10 buy. Spent a few hours sitting, betting, and drinking. Wish I could get coin in for MLife, though. There are dudes with charts and notebooks to pick horses. They show up with hundreds in quarters, it's nuts.
Anyone here play poker? Never have sat down in a poker room, but thinking about checking out a 1/2 NL or 2/4 limit game somewhere.
Hell yeah man. You might wanna check out the early bird tournaments for less than $50. I remember there was a pretty good one at Harrah around 10am. Good turn out (I got quaded on the river). Ill also be on the 1/2 tables. Buy-in for the max ($200) and build your bankroll. Im nervous because I havent played a game online/live in over 3mo. I have been reading a lot fwiw.
Here is some basic info, let me know if you have any specific questions. Nicest Rooms Venetian Bellagio Aria Wynn (Lowest they spread is 1-3) Best Places to Make Money MGM Grand Hard Rock Aria Golden Nugget These are all places I have had good luck finding games filled with tourist. However, any of these places could have bad tables at random times. If your table sucks after 5 minutes of sitting down, don't hesitate to get up and try a different place. Avoid Tropicana (They are running a right now that attracts nitty, local grinders. Nice new room, though) Treasure Island (Same as above, but the room isn't as nice.)
Do you recommend a NL game for first timers or should I find a limit game? I can just imagine a table full of dickwads going all in each hand.
Lost it at dickwads going AI. Play no limit. Why not? I hope to find a table of all-in dbags. Just have to be patient and hope to be in position when you have something to drum them with.
If you are moderately good at poker, there is a good chance the play at a 2-4 table will make you shoot yourself in the face. It's easy money if you play smart, but there are plenty of opportunities to get pissed off and play poorly. NL is not as aggressive as I thought it would be, but (particularly at MGM, which I generally recommend if they're back in their normal poker room) you're going to get your fair share of overaggressive dumbasses as the night progresses.
Don't play any tournament under $100 unless you just really want to play a tournament, because the rake on smaller buy in tournaments is outrageous.
Got a comp night at Mandalay Bay out of nowhere so I'm trading in my $125 friday night at Flamingo for that. Never really been in there. Nice/fun casino?
Plenty of places to eat cheap. Most places have food courts so you don't have to "dine". Mid level buffets will run you $15-20. Gamble downtown, off strip, and at places like Bills,O'Shea's and IP.
My first action will be to throw TableKnight 's $20 that he gave me as part of TMB Secret Santa on the roulette table.
Booked for four nights at the Vdarra in July. I'll be working that Vegas tournaments the last week and then I'll be working another one in April, 20-22.
i should have posted this earlier, but has anyone stayed at the trop? i was surprised it was a 4*. been there once for drinks, i suppose it was alright, i dont remember much though. ive heard nice rooms and decent pool. we're planning tao thurs nite, marquee friday nite, and the gallery sat night, on top of ncaa games during the day. should be fun.
My buddy stayed there 2 years ago, said the room was ok just a place to sleep at night also heard that Osheas and Ip were closing and being remolded into one new hotel
Went today. Casino us eat nicer than before. Idk if they've gotten to the rooms yet. Will report back in a few days with a trip report.
Trop had I believe a $100 million renovation and just opened back up within the past year and I believe the rooms were included in the renovations
