So is Primrose, which I really like for breakfast and lunch. At Eataly it looks like the outlet shops are closed but most of the restaurants are open. I tried to paste info but it didn’t work.

I am going to a bachelor party this weekend in Vegas. Doing mostly outdoor shit, buncha rounds of golf, dune buggy trip, etc.

Are there any venues open for night activities? We typically do bottle service at XS but I heard it and most like it are closed.

McCarran was very racist. There’s been a movement for several years to remove his name from the facility.

Apollo Global Management purchased the operating company. They own several casinos internationally. Most likely the brand names such as The Venetian will remain in place. They also purchased the Sands Convention Center as part of the deal. Upon further reading it looks like Adelson was already thinking about doing this prior to his death. The company’s US holdings only provided 13% of its revenue. It will now focus on its Asian properties.

Quick recap. Mlife properties did better with covid protections than Caesars imo. Golf was great minus the GD wind. Bavettes was a total let down minus their chicken gravy. Momofuku damn good. Praying I didn’t catch covid

A good friend was the Executive Chef at Bavettes when they opened and for about the next year. She left for an opportunity in NYC. She had been the Sous Chef/Assistant Executive at Aria’s Bardot and was excellent. My guess is that Bavette’s probably began declining after she left.

Scarpetta has a pre fixe menu that is about $125-$150 a person and includes a couple hours of alcohol. My brother in law did it with a group of guys and said it was awesome.

I’m hopefully going to head out to vegas with the wife in the next month or two. I want to stay downtown for the cheap gambling. Wife will want a decent pool.

I’ve only stayed at the Paris for a work convention so I don’t really know the surroundings.

What places should I be looking at?

I liked downtown grand for the price. I can’t remember their pool sitch, but it’s likely not close to the nugget or circa. One thing to think about is that a lot of stuff east of LVB on Fremont east could be in flux over the next few months as downtown project holdings hit the market.

mandatory masks in all the hotels. They got security constantly seeking it out. Few hotels had temperature checks. I think I remember it was bellagio or cosmo and then the historic one at the end of Fremont. Mandalay Bay had temperature checks to get in the elevator/rooms.

I’d say 90% of people were compliant during the day. Drops down to 65% by 10 and reduces every hour after. Non compliant to me includes having the nose show out. Some black dude wore a N95 on his hat while playing the slots. I had a good laugh about that.

Sucks not being able to eat in restaurants. I think they may have select opportunities if you pay VIP. Every other machine was shut down for spacing.

I had a good time. Sucks there were no shows, and i was too poor for the clubs which had limited entrance for VIP only, but because there were limited options I ventured to Fremont and I never would’ve thought to go before. I really enjoyed the MB pool. Pool you wore a mask when you were outside the pool and didn’t wear a mask in the pool.

I’m no Covid role model, but I’m good about masking up. The only time I felt weird is going down the elevators and having people get in the elevator with me. Otherwise, it seemed as safe as it could be.

Depends on how old you are too. The demographics of this board would definitely lean Cosmo, but if you're looking for an older, stuffier vibe, the Wynn/Encore would be another option.

Cosmo is in a much better spot too.

Cosmo hands down. Assuming you’re 40 or younger. Think that poster who said older than that, Wynn.

Aria sucks. I just can’t get into it. Just doesn’t have anything to me. Assuming you’re not doing Cosmo, I’d put bellagio, Paris, or Caesars as the next level.

Excalibur is imo the worst hotel on the strip. Don’t listen to that. It’s just weird.

Haven’t been to cosmo post covid but in 2019 cosmo had noticeably deteriorated. Dirty, worn down, shitty service.

Wynn/encore for me these days. Much younger than 40 fwiw.

Aria doesn’t have as much pop and show to it. It’s more low key modern luxury and really shines in the hotel.

Aria feels like it's a mile from the street. Cosmo is basically on the sidewalk. If that matters to you at all. I like to casino hop so an easy in and out is nice.

That's my biggest gripe of the NYNY, Excalibur, MGM corner. Those properties are a pain to get out of.
