I’ve actually stayed there. Nice and quiet. But access to cosmo and aria in an instant. Wynn is my favorite but if not staying there for whatever reason Aria is my second choice.
For all of you looking for Beach Clubs, see the attached article. BTW, Virgin Hotels used to be the Hard Rock. https://pagesix.com/2021/05/31/miami-nightlife-gurus-to-open-mykonos-themed-club-in-vegas/
Officially moving to Vegas next week. Excited. Lived in Los Angeles for ~9 years after college then spent most of the pandemic in FL to be closer to family. Happy to be headin back west and to a blue state.
It's going to be above 105 the rest of the month, basically only going outside to get in the pool haha.
Looking at staying downtown at some point. I mainly want to gamble for cheap. How good/bad are the rooms at somewhere like the golden nugget or binions?
Admittedly never stayed on Fremont, but I’ve heard good things about golden nugget, plaza, circa and downtown grand.
I liked the downtown grand. It’s rooms are like identical to those of an airport business hotel, which is an upgrade over a lot of downtown.
Downtown Grand was surprisingly good. Stayed there for a night earlier this week. If you like to gamble at the hotel though they had all table games closed during weekdays. Only open Friday-Sunday.
We still haven't pulled the trigger on those Alesso Encore Beach Club tickets because we do not really want a bro-ey, packed pool, expensive drink experience. I'd rather spend it elsewhere or just drink/eat at the Aria pool. Can you get into these for free by using a promoter?
Any restaurant recs? If we do a steak night, would you suggest Jean Georges at Aria or Delmonico? Caesars Bacchanal Buffet just re-opened, is it worth going there for dinner?
Underwhelming. Great location, decently pricey. I’d have thought it would have a popping casino. Caesars, Bellagio, Paris, Cosmo all have more people, more energy. Aria just feels dead. I’d rather go to park mgm if I’m looking for low energy; take advantage of the no smoking. I liked the time I stayed at Aria for the room and location. Very convenient and good price from that aspect.
This is pretty exciting. I plan on checking it out next time I’m in town. https://vegas.eater.com/2021/6/24/22549008/resorts-world-opens-restaurants-bar-las-vegas-strip
Yes. The cocktails suck. The bottles of wine/champagne are priced surprisingly well. Had a bottle of Veuve at the show last weekend after we threw away our overpriced cocktails. It's easier to buy it from the area outside and bring it in, IMO.
When you’re close there’s a chance the MC could make a joke at your expense so if that’s not your speed then consider normal seats
staying at encore thursday - sunday. haven't stayed there in years--usually at cosmo now. wing lei thursday hugo's cellar friday sw on saturday probably most excited for hugos cellar honestly. considering getting a daybed at encore beach club on friday has anyone been to resorts world yet?
not a coffee drinker so not sure. the sommelier like 3 years ago poured one of the best bottles of cab i've had and since then i've ordered like 4-5 cases of it from the winery i always just get the table side salad and prime rib
encore beach club on Friday - For Alesso? We finally made the decision last night to skip the Alesso beach club show this Friday. Daybed prices are way out of my budget lol
yep that's what we are looking at daybed like 2,500 min spend that will end up costing closer to 3500
I personally don’t see the value in spending that much, maybe if I had more money. Our VIP tickets to EDC Vegas we’re going to be $1800 ish but that was for 3 nights of music.
Wife gets there an hour before I do. Just ordered a limo to take her from airport to hotel not sure if anyone else does this but it’s really not much more expensive than a cab
