I just did a google search it was $140 for trip to airport to casino today and back to airport on Sunday cabs are like —$30 each way so it was more but not insane
Also ran across this tweet from a hooker who is going to start passing on her valet fees to her clients lol
This will impact the Aria/Vdara employees negatively. When I was there MGM only owned 50%. This somewhat insulated us from some of the more ridiculous aspects of MGM’s Executive Team.
All of the ones listed in the attached article are good choices. Additionally, if you don’t mind going a block off-strip, the Hofbrauhaus is good when they set up game watch seating. I would call them to make sure they are doing it for the NBA finals. https://www.vegasunzipped.com/best-sports-bars-strip/
Im going with a large group half of which are females not into basketball, needing something more than just sitting at the sports book that evening
Done this in nyc and sf. Really is beneficial when traveling with a larger group with a lot of luggage. Underrated.
Had a great trip. Guess my advice/feedback is geared toward a couples/romantic trip, but this is a text I sent someone so I'll c/p here: Lodging: Cosmo, Ceasars, or Bellagio Shows: Nathan Burton Comedy, Beatles Tribute, and Hypnosis Kevin Lepine. Area 15 (adult arcade with a trippy vibe) Food: STK in Cosmo Nobu Sushi in Ceasars Catch in Aria Tao in Venetian Momofuku in Cosmo Prime Steak in Bellagio Bars: Chandelier Bar in Cosmo Gem in Aria Vista in Caesars Vanderpump Garden in Caesars Dorsey in Venetian Rosina in Venetian Center Bar in Mirage Rhumbar in Mirage “Fremont” downtown bars: Laundry Room Commonwealth Atomic Liquors Lucky Day underground Mob Museum
I saw Resorts World “room service” is just Grubhub that will deliver from all their restaurants to you anywhere on the property. How did that take so long for someone to figure out?
Great list! I’ll save it. Some personal comments: I’m glad you liked Catch. I haven’t had to chance to dine there. They were building it when I left the company. You might be the first person to recommend Gem Bar. I always liked it. It sits out of the way, so to speak. Laundry Room, Commonwealth and Atomic Liquors are terrific. I went to Tao exactly one time. It was a terrible experience. I probably should have given them another chance. The Venetian, though, is fun. Chandelier is a must-do when I visit Vegas. The Beatles show is at the Mirage? The Mirage is generally underrated, but is a personal favorite.
Flew in to O’Hare tonight and they had a limo sign down a bit from the taxi stand. First time ever seeing that.
Front desk at Aria told us that we can’t go to the Bellagio Pool as it’s restricted to hotel guests. Am I missing something?
Dont think that’s anything new. only pools I know of you can commingle is Paris with Bally’s and I think Aria with vdara
Yeah pool hopping is generally a winter thing when most are closed and they keep a few open per company.
I think the limo areas at OHare are moreso the the black car pick-ups (Tahoe/Navigator/etc). We always use that because they are more reliable than Uber and they have car seats for kids. The cost consideration is more versus parking than taxi because the damn kids need a car seat. And it fucking blows trying to haul kids + bags to check in from the parking lot.
My dad showed up ~2 hours after our group got to encore beach club and was wearing an NPR shirt I lost it
EBC is the best. Omnia is horrible unless you pay for a table in my experience. how long you in town? Where are you staying?
I believe we do have a table. Staying at this new resort world hotel? I’m not calling the shots this trip.
I went in there for lunch the other day. It’s food setup is amazing. Like 15-20 Asian street food stalls all in a row that you order via touch screen. It’s got a cashless casino as well, which I haven’t tried yet but looks interesting.
What’s the opinion of Resorts World? I’m a Hilton guy and pts aren’t bad so thinking about checking it out.
Everything I’ve seen says resorts world itself is awesome. I’d imagine tho you’d need a rental, or ready to make that majority of your whole trip. Location kind of sucks.
All depends on your version of walkable. I’ll spend a day walking MB to Wynn and back and stop off at a bunch of places. Other times I’m getting a ride from Paris to the mirage because I’m just not feeling like a stroll.
I know that I’ll get a lot of shit for this comment, but that’s going to be a hell of a show, the first one back, in Vegas, with over a year of rest and pent up performance energy for his old ass.
