There are places like Rio and Downtown that have 3:2 blackjack, lower table limits, and better comps luring people there is the word I've seen on Twitter
yeah it’s wild. Like when I went to the Wynn, there wasn’t one player shooting craps I on the 4 open tables. Had a nice run at Caesar’s tonight at the craps table. First chocolate chip of the trip
No one has their finger on the pulse of the city quite like the march madness in Vegas Facebook group. I’ll keep you updated
what were the table minimums? I used to love playing craps but barely do now as it seems its mostly $50 tables and a couple $25.
Found out this morning I was gambling with Bryce Hall dude last night. Know hes a big streamer or some shit
I liked it mostly. I bought the throne seats on the side of the stage for cheaper. Enjoyed the show, didn’t enjoy the comedian trying to talk shit about me. Awakening at the Wynn I felt was a pretty good show, might have been really good had the place been a little more full.
real test is Friday/Sat. but not a good look. A quick check on hotels.com Resorts world $131/Conrad $149/Wynn $300/ Venetian $300-350/Fountainebleau $271/Bellagio $289/Aria $259/Caesars $221. Vegas is fucked
there wasn’t even a line for the kiosks 20 minutes before tip. The pit boss was insisting that it’s been packed all week.
When I was in Vegas last (couple years ago) it was similar at Park MGM, just a ton of empty tables with similar minimums. Annoyed me.
Yeah I was at Harrahs watching games all week. Not nearly what it was like last time I was there. Made my way to Circa for the first time Saturday night, trying to go to the Legacy Club and have a cigar. Had a dress code and couldn’t get in. All I had was sweatsuits. They did a great job with the casino. Peter Lugers was amazing yet again. Can’t recommend it enough
We decided to walk the strip after going to the Golden Knights game on Saturday night. It was not busy, and we played $25 blackjack at Planet Hollywood for several hours. For the past two 2-years, there were zero seats available there, and table minimums were $50. Ate at SW Steakhouse on Thursday night. It was fine. My friends were bigger fans than I was.
It's the gf's birthday on the 11th and we were supposed to go to St Augustine for the Jason Isbell show till it got rescheduled. Going to Vegas on the 18th instead. Delta had actual decent flight prices out of JAX and I'm comped at Wynn with $300 in resort credit. Gonna live it up on my last time getting comped here cause this not a gambling trip
yes, I will gamble but Im only gonna bring like 2k and not 5k. Gonna spa, shop, eat. also gonna go to the grand canyon west rim
was looking at events that weekend. Dead & Co. Dont mind if I do? DuffandMuff lowest level obstructed view still worth it?
Dead and Co last year was real fun, booked my airfare for April to go again How was earth? Is it really like $125 for a movie?
I saw the earth movie when I went and was on enough LSD that I couldn’t tell you where I sat. Pretty high up if I recall.
tickets secured. view from a couple seats over in the same row in the obstructed seats but can almost see entire sphere
It looks like Resorts World isn’t going to survive too much longer. Casinos only let this stuff go on when they are in dire financial difficulties (or are operated by a criminal organization, which I don’t think is the case here). https://www.8newsnow.com/news/local...strip-resort-is-2nd-highest-in-state-history/
It looked great with the FountainBleu but its so far on the North Side of the strip that I had no interest going up there. Maybe its just me but I think for them to be really successful, they got to get a couple more casinos right next to them.
Like they're a profitable hotel. just no one gambles there and them paying $25 million a quarter in interest alone is killing them. Genting group really fucked up thinking if they just built another mega resort that they too could easily make billions
they need to be bought by MGM or Caesars for it to actually work imo but they are both failing. Maybe Wynn and re brand it to Wynn West like they want cause they own the lasnd just south of Resorts for that plan anyways
In addition to what Lyrtch posted a lot of people go to golf, relax on Lake Mead, enjoy world class cuisine, famous singers/groups doing residencies, top notch spas, attend NFL and NHL games, shopping at The Shops at Crystals/Aria and similar places with luxury brand merchants or at the 2 excellent outlet malls for the more economically minded, etc… in the last 20 years my only gambling was to split a $20 bet on a hockey game with my son. My wife allocates up yo $200 to do slots on a trip to the city. Gambling isn’t even a reason for us to go there.
Yeah makes sense. Im a Caesars guy because I can smoke cigars in the sportsbook. My host offered me F1 tickets and I think I might have to take her up on that.
Going to Vegas for 12 hours tomorrow. Land at 9AM. Thinking we go straight to brunch. Any recs? Vibe/energy is most important. Bardot Brasserie and Primrose are the only two spots I’ve been to before. Also, what does a great 12 hours in Vegas look like? I have to be back at the airport by 8PM. No pool as I’m not bringing a change of clothes. Maybe just make a full day of it in old Vegas?
The last time I was there, the day we got there was when they shut the strip down to start all that construction. It was a complete disaster. We went to Absinthe and it took like 90 minutes to walk back to Park MGM because the traffic was so bad, no one was ubering and everyone was walking on that one walk way.
MGM just unloaded their northernmost property. Wouldn't make much sense to reverse course on a failed property that has no identity
While true, you need someone that already has the clientele roster to put people in that place. There's only 3 choices
As someone who lived in Vegas for a few years I just can’t justify going there for any other reason. Go to an actual city if the cuisine and shopping are what you desire.
So, so much. But seriously mainly restaurants, bars, and nightclubs to see specific artists. I mean Anyma was a bucket list trip at the sphere and then got to see Lil Wayne for NYE. Not many cities where that's an actual option.
