I like slots cause thats the quickest/cheapest way to get points though. guess just have him play a lower denom so it would be really difficult to hit a handpay
Used to swap cards a lot. Just have them grind on a lower denomination machine that won’t trigger anyone to check in
Also for those not in the know, double tap the spin button for max efficiency if you’re not looking to be entertained and just want to crank cash through.
Going out mid May for a work conference. I will be hosting some friends/clients and I’m looking for a Saturday activity. We’re going to dinners/shows/gamble on other days and some private cocktail parties with various companies so looking for something different. Things I’ve done in the past - golf, rode dune buggies, shot at a gun range (automatic weapons), pool cabana party. I was thinking a mixology class. Any thoughts or input is appreciated.
Stayed at the Fontainebleau the past few days for work. My first time there. Think it’s now my favorite hotel in Vegas. Was ready to give up on Vegas for a while, but already looking at going back there.
I didn’t leave the property once. I don’t think I would ever go to it if I wasn’t staying there. I normally want to bounce around a bit when in Vegas. However, I think having been to Vegas a couple times in the past six months, I wasn’t itching to walk the strip or go downtown. Plus having some work events kept me there. Bleau Bar in the middle of the casino floor reminded me of the chandelier bar at cosmo. The room finishings were beautiful. Bar and restaurant offerings were great although I only had dinner at Mother Wolf. 180° screens in the sportsbook made it feel big, but there was still some intimacy that created energy. It’s also attached to an upscale sports bar/tavern type spot that I thought worked well. The pool was large with plenty of seating. The high ceilings on the casino floor sucks some of the energy out of the gaming IMO, which was my only negative. Heard great things about the spa, which I need to check out. The gym was awesome. Went both days. Not sure who operates their sportsbook, but lines and in game offerings were definitely limited.
I may have an extra ticket to Tyler Childers on June 7 at MGM so may be worth making plans for another trip out this way.
as much as I would want to go. I cant my parents are goin to my sisters then and that means im working
Had been wanting to try Egg Slut for years and it was everything I wanted it to be JRad at Brooklyn Bowl was a blast last night, got back to room at 3 am
Had the best burger Ive ever had at Bavettes last week. planning to go there again next week for a steak, bazaar bc it wasnt good the last tine i went, and two other places i havent decided on yet. Where else should I go? I eat anything. …needs to be $75 or less for work reasons. Wanna go downtown one night as well. Thnks Having been to LV a dozen times now, its just not the same post-covid imo
bavettes fried chicken and french dip are also standouts. park really has my two favorite Vegas restaurants.
Downtown: Hugo’s Cellar at the Four Queens for fantastic steaks. For the best cocktails downtown: The Laundry Room speakeasy. It’s small so you have to reserve.
if they were playing next weekend I’d go but don’t feel like extending my trip 2 days to go on the 9th
Cathedrale at Aria is closing at the end of May. Only open for 2 years this is easily the most short lived restaurant at Aria in my experience. Aria hasn’t announced what will go into the space.
Last year I ate at Piero’s and it was a great experience. We’re going to try the restaurant again this year.
It is a surprise to me simply because they put a lot of money into it and closed it down soon. I went about a month after it opened and it was great. The food, ambiance and service were all top notch. We went again about a year later and the quality of those aspects had dropped. But I’m still surprised they closed it. It makes me wonder if they have a new VP of Food & Beverage.
Just booked my flight for Tyler Childers in a few weeks /tweet Now just need to see where I can get some comped rooms.
Driving to Vegas for the first time ever. Rented a car one way. Gonna fly home. Drove the first three hours. Have the gf driving the last two so I can get some work done. $300 for a male ticket to John summit at liv tonight but the gf loves him so we have to go. Need to get hot at the craps table early.
Took a group to the mixology class at Cabinet of Curiosities/The Lock. It exceeded expectations. $100 per person - 90 minutes - 1-2:30 pm - 3 drinks included. We had a group of 4 and we ended up staying for 2 hours and had about 6 drinks. The guy who taught the class was on Bar Rescue and he was really entertaining. I’d recommend to TMBers if you are looking for a little different experience.
If y’all enjoy drinking together and can handle a lot of banter with a lifelong bartender then it’ll be a lot of fun. Probably not ideal if you or your wife are reserved.
we did a cocktail tasting menu thing in Kyoto at a famous place and due to Covid it ended up just being the 2 of us with him, was genuinely one of my favorite memories of that trip
I liked grand wok noodle bar, but not something I’d necessarily encourage someone as a have to try place.
Recap: Friday pool at Fontainebleau. Friday night John Summit at LIV Saturday Kaskade at Ayu day club Saturday night Barbershop at Cosmo then Illenium at Zouk Sunday Fisher at Palm Tree Beach Club One meal for the weekend was Kyu at Fontainebleau. The short rib was great. Good cocktail. Sake bombs. The rest meh.
Looking at heading to Vegas in October with my wife who has never been. Would like to stay at the cosmo, but the rooms are stupid expensive. Is the aria still nice? She likes playing slots, we will have a spa/pool day, and she will enjoy the food. She isn’t really a nightclub person. What is the best show these days? Any other recommendations for activities? My time in Vegas with friends is almost exclusively gambling like a degenerate.
Yes Aria is still nice. Bellagio has recently renovated rooms though. The earth movie is a good daytime activity. Awakening is packed every night at Wynn unsure about others
