Following up on racer 's post, all of the Cirque shows have big discounts right now. Check out Beauty & Essex at Cosmo. It looks like a pawn shop. Go through the hidden door in the back wall to get to the restaurant and lounge. The scenery is very good.

WSOP is at the Rio. Have no idea what it costs to watch. Might be a waste of time. At least you get to miss the madness of the Electric Daisy Carnival next week.

Open on food type. I'd say less than 150 per person max. Looking for more of a laid back chill vibe.

Thank you. We did top golf and Omnia last night. Planning on liquid during the day, one of your dinner recommendations.

    Not sure for tonight yet

I saw the top 3 of Marquee, Encore and Wer Republic. Few of the guys are on a tighter budget so I was looking for something a little cheaper.

Our group planning was poor so we are doing everything on the fly

I've noticed that "some of the other guys" are on a tight budget quite often. If you don't want to spend a lot, just say so. It will help people give good useful advice instead of hoping someone throws out a nugget of frugal info.

I have spent a lot on hotels and gambling, but usually I prefer to spend less than $100 a night and eat for $10-20 a person per meal. You can still have a great time, don't feel like you've got to go to the highest end everything it make it happen.

Crush some $2 tall boys from Walgreens instead of paying bar prices. Buy a bottle of svedka or 2 for the room. Eat some food court. Play $10 tables or slots at .25-.50 a spin. You'll feel shitty coming home broke and be so anxious about your spending that you won't fully enjoy the gambling or meals. I've talked to a lot of dealers who can tell people don't feel comfortable with the bets they are making and point out that the same game across the way is 1/4 the price.

If you can afford it, then by all means, go for it. I just don't want to see anyone not get the trip they want and not have fun because they think they have to try and ball out when that is not even a little bit necessary.

Agreed. I'll usually splurge on one $40-50 per person dinner each trip, but other than that I'll stick to $10 meals and be more than satisfied.

With beer, we pickup a styrofoam cooler and whatever we're drinking at a grocery store and then just use the ice machine to keep it cool. Every time we leave the room I'll take 2 or 3 beers with me and that usually keeps me wound to the right tension. Then I can supplement with the occasional casino/bar drink without feeling like im getting my ass handed to me.

Would rather see all my money going to the craps table.

Lotus of Siam, lindo mihocan, Ellis island BBQ were my favorite of the reasonably priced eateries in Vegas. Ping pang pong is good too

Hash house a go go is also worth going to at least once.

I don't have much to offer in this thread, only been once in vegas but Vic and Anthony's downtown was pretty solid and not that expensive. very good steakhouse.

only issue is that it's downtown, but if you plan on doing Fremont street you can eat a great steak

I haven't been there, but Yusho at Monte Carlo is Asian street food. The version in Chicago has a Michelin star if I'm not mistaken. That would be a good place on the cheap.

I'd agree with this but now it might depend on where they're at with the renovation. I thought I remembered reading it would be closer to Aria level once they redid it

I think that is what they're going for since it is the closest hotel to T-Mobile arena and that major pedestrian thoroughfare w/ all the restaurants and bars.

Yes. The final product will be a luxury concept. They are completely re-doing the food & beverage concept too. A number of celebrity chefs will be opening restaurants there. The Park Theater is easily a better music venue than the Colosseum.

MGM needs to do a better job marketing that development. It's actually called The Park. It's popular, but I'll bet 70% of those who visit it have no idea it has a name.

Isn't that going to be the name of the rebranded Monte Carlo? Assume all that will be worked out then, but the restaurants that don't have frontage on LVB are kinda hidden unless you are going to T-Mobile.

Yes that'll be the name of the hotel, but it's sharing a name with that area. I think all the renovations and re-branding are a result of the opening of the T-Mobile arena last year since that's when they re-did the outside area and started work inside the casino

Very similar, except it has fewer eateries and a park atmosphere. Places to sit, water feature, art pieces, etc... The rebranded Monte Carlo will named be The Park MGM or The MGM Park, unless that has changed. I posted a story about it earlier in this thread, but I'm not going to look for it.

A little Monte Carlo shinfo for those who have had Hangar 24 beer. They bought their tanks from the Monte Carlo brewery when they changed it to the Pub. MC used to make some damn good beer.

not big enough for a host at Aria. I enjoy Mirage especially with the renovation they did. Also just stop by the Host office at the end of your trip to see what they can comp you

I want with Mandalay. I've always liked their casino the most anyways. Wave pool is a huge plus too. Went with 2 nights. This is going to be the grand finale off a pacifc Northwest road trip.

Flying to Seattle for two days. Driving to gold Beach, Oregon (stopping in Portland and Eugen along the way) and stay there overnight. Then driving to San Fran (stopping to see the redwoods) and staying for 2 nights. Then flying to Vegas for two nights.

Mandalay is my favorite casino. It's huge and less crowded than all of the others. Make sure you get to Skyfall at Delano at least one evening. I recommend making a reservation.

I second the rec for a reservation at Skyfall. You certainly don't need one to get up there but when I made one we got a great table right at the window so it was a little better than the tables people were getting that didn't have one

Going to be here in Vegas for work at the end of July for 4 days or so and planning a bachelor party trip for my cousin in September.

For the bachelor trip, I'll need to read through the thread, but looking for some good beer bars. I've heard good things about Tacos & Tequila. Any others?

I haven't been able to find a really good beer place on the strip. I typically like to pick up something from Walgreen's/CVS and walk with it.

Not a beer bar, but my recommendation for a solid drink spot is Squeeze in the alley between Linq and Flamingo (attached to the Linq). It's a fresh juice bar with tons of options but I have been there before when they had $2 Deschutes drafts. I also pick up a screwdriver frequently if we're close. Also, High Roller happy hour you can easily get your money's worth if you drink fast

The bar right inside the south entrance of Linq (think it's called Tag) has the best beer selection I've seen on the strip. I've wasted many a dollar on the bartop games there.

I dislike mandalays casino becusue it feels so huge and empty. Big fan of the property in general, though. Staying down there makes getting other places a major haul. I'm on team Aria for best, and Mirage for my favorite overall.
