Vdara was like $400 total more, so I wanted a good excuse not to book there, but I also didn't know jack shit about it. I think the Palazzo is my favorite hotel I've stayed in Vegas actually. Love it there.
Nugget is the nicest on Fremont but that's a bit of tallest midget situation. Personally, I love Fremont. It's a blast. Cheap gambling and booze, which is mostly what I'm there for. Lots of weirdos. Everything is much closer than the strip. But if you're there for nightlife, fine dining, etc. (or have a company card to use) the strip is a better call.
Idk man. I had one of my best nights on Fremont playing craps outside next to the golden nuggets shark tank and pool.
I actually know people who live in The Polo Towers. It’s a condo/time-share venue. For a visitor it doesn’t have amenities such as restaurants.
The dates are part of the reason prices are high. The porn convention is 1/24-27. Tons of people in town for that. I think the from out of town hooker population goes way up too.
will do. probably won't be cosmo unfortunately. $200-250 for a single day pass and that doesn't include food.
Flying out for a long weekend next Thursday with my girlfriend. What are the best shows and restaurants these days? I haven't been to Vegas in probably 10yrs.
The LVH is out that way too. I swear those craps dice are loaded bc the table is always hot when I go.
Really wanted to go to a game while we’re in town, but we arrive too late Thursday. Also really wanted to do the MJ Cirque show, but it seems like it’s not running on the days we’re in town. Definitely doing Giada’s one night, and may take your recommendation on Beauty & Essex.
Probably not until this summer. Im starting a new job in Feb and won't have as much vacation as I used to.
Giada's and Beauty & Essex are two of my favorites. My list of favorite restaurants on the strip is: Aria: Bardot Brasserie, Carbone, Sage. Catch a Bardot Brunch on the weekend if you can. Make a reservation. Cosmo: Beauty & Essex, Estiatorio Milo's, E by Jose Andres. The Cromwell: Giada's The Wynn: Andrea's. Caesar's Palace: Mesa Grill My favorite Cirque du Soleil shows are: Bellagio: O MGM Grand: KA Other show recommendation: Absinthe at Caesar's Palace. Other Things to Do: Top of the World Restaurant and Bar 701 at the Stratosphere. Mainly for the city views. Bellagio Fountains Bellagio Conservatory High Roller Observation Wheel at The LINQ Skyfall Lounge at The Delano and Lounge 23 at The Mandarin Oriental: for the views. Have a Verbena at Cosmpolitan's Chandelier Lounge, 2nd Level. It's not on the menu. Have a cocktail at The Tipsy Robot at Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. The above are all Strip related. If you are interested in Fremont Street or other things in the Vegas area, let me know. I definitely recommend the Hoover Dam Tour.
Thanks, lots to pick through here. Definitely want to spend some time at the old strip because of the history, cheaper tables, and people watching. We’ve both done the Hoover Dam (both when we were kids.) I was thinking about seeing it again or taking a day trip out to the Grand Canyon.
Cool day trips from Vegas: Grand Canyon, Death Valley, Valley of Fire State Park Fremont Street Downtown: Hugo's Cellar at The 4 Queens The MOB Museum The Laundry Room, a 'secret' speakeasy at The Commonwealth. For reservation TEXT SMS number 702.701.1466, ask NICELY or you will be rejected. The sooner you call, the better. The Atomic Lounge. Vegas' oldest continually operating bar. Triple George Grill Go at night and just enjoy the weirdness walking around Zip Line
Will be in Vegas next Friday for work for a few days and I'll be staying at the Golden Nugget. Fremont street can be pretty fun with the cheap gambling and booze. The people watching may be even better. I'm praying they don't fuck up my room request and put me on the Fremont side of my tower.
Have you ever been to La Comida just off of Fremont? It's pretty solid Mexican and their margaritas are really good.
Try the link below for Fremont Street events. The live music is often worthwhile. Also, Banger Brewing is on Fremont Street. Stop in and try the DTB Brown Ale. Its one of the best craft beers I've had. https://vegasexperience.com/calendar/
Yes, I have. I completely agree with you. The food and the margaritas are among the best in the city. If you are into good breakfasts, take a walk over to EAT! http://eatdtlv.com/
I did a groupon tasting there a couple years ago and got hammered. Good times. Now I really want to go back to Fremont street.
Really enjoyed this guy at Bally’s https://www.caesars.com/ballys-las-vegas/shows/paranormal Now we were hammered and had just been at Top Golf for 3 hours but it was a lot of fun. Tickets were pretty cheap. GoodForAnother can vouch too
Fave show: Absinthe Fave restaurant: foundation room (crab cakes, view, bourbon); Julian serrano (paella and pinxto de chorizo); tacos El gordo; Mesa grill Fave casino: Mandalay Fave property and hotel : Aria
Absinthe is awesome Ka was probably great but drunk and operating on not much sleep Jabawockeez was fun
What’s the best restaurant within walking distance of the LINQ? I’m underwhelmed with my options right now. Edit: Besides Hash a go go. That place will be devoured tomorrow. Not for dinner tonight.
There are probably no less than 150 restaurants within a 15 minute walk of the Linq so we're going to need some guidelines
Like within 500 feet of the grounds or Harrahs or whatever else is that close. I’m Trying to eat a badass dinner. I’ll pay $100 for my meal plus drinks. I’d also be down for delicious and not fancy. I give 0 fucks. I’m just starving right now.
Boarding in three hours for the long weekend: Grand Canyon Friday Shooting Saturday, Fremont street and brewery and container world Saturday night Mob museum Sunday, some walking around, dinner at Beauty and Essex, Mat Franco at 7:30 Monday all day on the strip, dinner at Giada’s Tuesday 7am flight
Was thinking brunch or lunch Monday before walking the strip. Plenty of play in my rough outline. Just getting engaged in a helicopter tour of the GC Friday, rest is details.
