This is pretty exciting. Lots of revealed development recently on that part of the Strip. Wynn will build a new hotel across LVB from Wynn/Encore. The Resorts World project is still in progress.
PH the typical setup, having a blast so far. Games have been competitive either S/U or ATS so I’m happy
i didn’t even put the two together until someone mentioned it on a podcast earlier this week softball isn’t gonna be fun this trip
Leaving town here in a few My buddy bought a table in the Wynn restaurant right outside the sports book and we had to use $400 a person. By the end of the night we were all blackout drunk and still had $1500 to spend so we just bought everyone a shot at the restaurant. Barely remember any games after 5pm The new wrap around bar at the Wynn sports book is really nice Went to a steakhouse in Caesars last night, for a $90 steak I wasn’t impressed. Once again leaving and telling myself I’m not drinking again for a long time /tweet
Nice. We had a table at Cosmo for the first round, the private sportsbook they did was dangerous. Open bar was surprisingly solid, too. Took the 6 am out yesterday and realized I hadn't had a meal since Wednesday night. On the no-drinking plan with you.
I will also join the no-drinking plan. Got home Saturday and I still don't feel right. I also didn't eat for quite a span - basically Thursday afternoon until Sunday. Did Westgate Thursday, all day craps Friday and closed the night at Omnia. Getting too old for this shit.
I ate plenty, but I ate like shit. Planet Hollywood watch party buffet all day, Panda Express, McDonalds (2x), Shake Shack, Twin Peaks, Blondies, Secret Pizza Had a salad for lunch today.
Just booked nights at the Bellagio for the end of May. Fountain view room comped. -I've zero tier credits nowadays ....how do I get my status back if I'm not likely to be paying ( much) for rooms now? -Do I need to have any certain level of play at the bellagio? I really prefer Mandalay and Aria. Don't want to have a surprise bill at the end of the trip.
If the rooms are comped they won't bill you for the room no matter your play level Your play this trip will affect future comps I would rather pay for a hotel room than chase comps (I haven't had to pay for a hotel room in Vegas since like 2009)
Cool thanks. Are hosts worth it? I've been able to go to the more desk before and get dinners taken off....i feel like I'm in a good spot here not having to chase comps. Would like to keep it that way.
i have hosts at paris, cosmo and wynn/encore. i would rather have a relationship with a host than just try my luck with whoever is at the desk. when i'm in a big group, we all stay at paris and my host comps rooms for our entire party, which has been 6-8 rooms a few times. generally we meet him for a drink and all slip $50 into a card and give it to him, and he picks up a ~$2,500 dinner at BLT. if we didn't have that relationship, people are paying for rooms and we are paying for 75% of that dinner.
Yes. Even if you're playing lightly on a trip, if you build a relationship, the F&B comps are almost always there.
I recommend Cosmo based on comments from others. I have no ideas about cost. In Vegas you don’t worry about ze steeenkeeeng costs.
As an aside, if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing pool experience I recommend ARIA. The clientele is not as young as Cosmo’s and tend to be attached. The pools themselves are great. Bar and food service is pretty good. You might have to be an ARIA guest to use them, I don’t know for sure.
I’ve done Wet Republic. It’s crazy busy. As xec recommended we are doing Cosmo this summer. Seems a smaller scale and maybe not as nuts. Hopefully. Guess it depends on what you are looking for...
And I can't believe it took me like 3 trips to discover tacos El gordo! Those are the best tacos in the world. I'm married to a Mexican. They're top notch and authentic.
Looks like Vegas is in my future. I went my first time as a stop to the title game in Phoenix in 16. All suggestions are welcome for dinner and shows. Taking the wife so can't be going too wild.
Absinthe is the best show. Mystere is good for a first cirque show Foundation room for the view and drinks. Julian serrano for tapas Secret.pizza at thee cosmo Tacos El gordo Mesa grill Prime Lago Learn to play craps
Found some really good happy hours Blondies at planet Hollywood has $20 all you can drink domestics and well drinks from 3-6pm
If you want to get shithoused there is a booth in front of the planet Hollywood entrance that sells ~40oz vodka redbulls- its like half a fifth of sky in each one. Friends and I got these and then walked to encore beach club and we're halfway to being blackout at like 12:30
Did this, if it’s just you and your girl devine you should be good If you come with a group, be prepared to buy a cabana
download the craps shooter app on an ipad or iphone. good practice. most casino's have free lessons in the mornings, you could always just play a $5 minimum table and start slow, dealers are usually very helpful
FYI only on weekdays - was there for a couple hours on saturday over march madness weekend, no dice on the happy hour then
download an app and screw around with it for 20 minutes; then go play at a table and tell the dealer its your first time. tip him $4 after the come out roll by putting a dollar on all the hardways for the dealers. he will make sure to help you the entire time.
Any insight on gyms/spas? Spa at the Lynq is $20 a day. I’m sure I will be worth it each morning I’m hungover by kinda disappointing I have to pay when I’m already a guest
i think you have a right to use the fitness center since you'll be paying the daily resort fee. not sure on spa.
