A couple years ago I bet on all 16 games in one day and cashed 3 of them. You couldn't possibly have done worse than that.
If you include the mix & match of different parlays, over/unders, halftime lines, live lines, the percentage was brutal.
Anyone know of a good place to look for deals on hotels, I am thinking of heading out in the fall and figured I could just start looking around until I see something. Shit even a way to waive the resort fees lol
Don’t think you’re going to find a way to waive any resort fees. Do you have a total rewards card or Mlife card? If so just look on their website. If you’re going to be gambling you can also go to the rewards desk when you check out and see if they can do anything for you. Last trip I was on they took $100 off my room bill.
Harrah's properties will be your cheapest options. The $20 trick might be ideal for you. Resort fees are unavoidable. It's a goddam racket.
Stayed at Harrah’s last time, didn’t do the 20 trick but asked for an upgrade just to do it and they upgraded me for like 10.00 a night which wasn’t terrible.
Took an absolute bath this weekend. Bets were okay on games. I somehow even found a way to lose $300 in $25 hand Pai Gow in the span of maybe an hour.
I was just thinking the same thing. Started getting the shakes on the plane this morning. My body doesn’t handle these weekends like it did when I was 25.
The only MM weekend I’ve done out there we stayed the whole weekend and flew home Monday. Ten minutes into our flight I had to hightail it to the lavatory and threw up more than I ever knew I could. Awkward coming out to a pissed off flight attendant and their comments about Vegas and they thought I was dying in there. Now I’m extremely careful with drinking the day before early flights
I drank very little. Went to a dispensary and got a disposable oil pen. Best Vegas trip yet. Alcohol is overrated iyamimo
Was on the verge of puking at the airport and for the first hour of my flight Saturday morning. Unlimited drinks at the Friday watch party + staying out until 3 am for a 8:25 am Saturday flight = a bad time Took a glorious nap when I got home
This is hard to do. I’ve borderline passed out/slept at a pai gow table just mumbling “house way” and never took it that bad.
Followed devine around all weekend just fading him. Won pretty much everything and stayed high like AHebrewToo the entire trip. Wow, what a great time
Just booked my first NFL/CFB weekend in Vegas for Oct 19-21. How busy does it typically get during the games? Do sportsbooks and/or bars typically have cover charges? Is it hard to find $10 BJ or Craps or will $15 be the typical minimum? I’ve been pretty much every other time of year (outside March Madness and Super Bowl) but I’m not really sure what to expect in terms of crowds.
Sportsbook won’t have a cover but you need to reserve one and there will be a pretty hefty food and alcohol minimum
I went for Labor Day a few years back and didn’t have any issues finding places to watch/cheap tables. May have had a few lines to make bets but nothing near the level of MM
Labor day never seemed that bad when I visited as long as you avoid the popular flight days. I think it is more of a party crowd than casino/book crowd.
Went that same weekend last year, if you want to reserve a table in a sports book I would do it ASAP. We waited too long and ended up at the beer park at Paris super hungover for the afternoon Sunday games, which wasn’t terrible. If the knights are in town you should definitely try to get to a game.
yup, not for an entire trip, but we like to either start a trip there for a night or on the final night stay down there.
I love Fremont but I go to mostly gamble and get loaded for cheap. If you're into higher-end stuff or shows/shopping/etc. I wouldn't recommend it. But if you have cheaper tastes, it's awesome, and the people watching is probably the best on the planet. EMAW's recommendation of just one night there is probably the best course of action.
