Yep, thankfully most of it wasn't bigger than golf balls to 2", but there were a few bigger than baseballs. Lasted for almost 20 minutes

Nice example of radar viewing angle and it's effect on velocity interpretation. The radar can only plot wind velocity that has any component parallel to the radar location (aka up or down radial)
Cancelled a work trip to Bloomington, Il yesterday because I knew I’d be driving back in severe weather. Definitely would’ve shit my pants if I saw something like that on 55.
We drove through that and I have never seen anything like it. There were power lines exploding in green sparks every few seconds for miles. Multiple lightning strikes per second. Fucking gf drove through it like a boss. I am a lucky man.
Not my video - this is what Minneapolis/SE MN and Wisconsin looked like last night into this morning. Had a large cell just meander over my head early morning for a couple hours with these types of thundering cracks every 30 seconds. Softball sized hail was reported in various cities.
