Another shot of the Akron tornado in America's New Tornado Alley:
Sparsely populated area. Unlike KS/NE/IA plains, a lot of this land isn't arable and there aren't as many farm houses/towns all over the place.
I don't know how accurate this is, but the south to north movement of these storms is created more tornadoes that we normally see according to some local weather hacks. They usually pop over the mountains, set sail to the East and get stronger as they get more into KS. This south to north flow was the same direction of the relatively severe tornado that hit Windsor, CO years ago (IIRC), with Windsor being very close to the mountains compared to an area like Akron that gets ropey tornadoes pretty often.
I’ve purchased weed drugs in Sterling fwiw
Get you some lomcevak
Luckily that's like 5 cows and 2 people in the area

What a missed opportunity
Of course this happens when I'm out of state.
That day 3 already hatched
Nebraska hasn’t had a violent tornado since Stanton/Pilger/Wakefield, so we might be due.

Jessica Moore @DopplerJess Lovely bell-shaped structure on the storm north of Rexford, KS currently! Won’t hang with it too long, but had to admire it for at least a bit before the later show begins. #kswx #wxtwitter
Max Olson @MesoMax919 Phenomenal structure near Colby, KS this morning! #kswx
Michael Snyder @SeattleWXGuy #kswx High based storm drifting north. The real show starts later.
That cell north of Benkelman is all alone in that atmosphere. PDS Watch.
