While this guy has been chud-adjacent over the years (he seems to have cooled on that recently, but maybe he just isn't as open about it), but he makes a good point. I'm biased but I would include NWS in the list of accurate forecasts, but I think he's talking specifically about apps, which NWS does not have. Regardless, any app will do well until active or anomalous weather occurs. That's when you want good tv folks, NWS, or otherwise
Wasn't he such a fraud he actually got fired from the most corrupt administration of our lifetime? But yeah apps suck. I preach to everyone that NWS is the standard. Hate when people at work quote me the weather.com hourly forecast when I'm planning field projects.
Yeah, maybe that's why he's toned down the schtick. And I get shit like that on fires....oh, well my phone says. bitch, then why am i here if you're going to trust that?
Yeah very plains-esque. (quasi) Isolated supercells will do that. I didn't look much at today ahead of time and thought it would be more of a squall line threat. It still will, but goes to show how quickly things can go berserk if you get supercells in a favorable environment
It's being absorbed into the line now. Certainly a tornadic threat will continue today, but it'll be curious to see how long the current meso and tornado persist after the merger
Ya, that did some damage near us. Still without power. Kind of scary when the tv meteorologist had the radar zoned in showing tornado and my street was on the map. No damage here but it’s been constant sirens just south of here since it happened.
I’m not sure what a tornado emergency but a tornado in that area would be a really bad deal with all the chemical plants and refineries.
