Pretty rare for such a large area of 10% tornadoes that far southwest. Would make for some fun terrain for a chase.
Not tornado related, but Nebraska is looking at quite the weather system the next two days. Western part of the state is under a blizzard warning for 60+ mph wind gusts and over a foot of snow. Eastern part of the state is looking at record flooding due to snow melt, a few inches of rain, and the ice clogged rivers.
ND too. I'm hoping it comes just a tad further north so I can get crushed by the blizzard and stay home from work to play division 2
I do wish the grand forks office would put out updated information more often. Maybe I was just spoiled, but NWS hastings did an incredible job with their forecasting in general and the regular updates of their products on days like today. Grand forks not so much so far.
