Re: *** Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread *** I HATE the Yankees with an absolute passion. On the other hand, the one thing the Steinbrenners do is dump money into their team to put the best possible product on the field. It might end up being a tremendously good thing. But yeah, I grew up a fanatical Braves fan. I hate the Yankees.

That's much more realistic than 35M (euros OR pounds).

Re: *** Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread *** I wish, too. Unfortunately, I'm moving to Boone to start grad school in a few weeks, so I'm enjoying my final few weeks in Charleston and trying to save some money. Oh, and now Fabiano is downplaying a move to ManU or Spurs. What the fuck is going on with this guy? http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2010/07/19/2033197/sevilla-striker-luis-fabiano-plays-down-move-to-manchester

Re: *** Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread *** I work tonight but could possibly get the end of the game
Re: *** Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread *** Last night wasn't overly pretty, but it works. So happy to see Bale kicking ass out there. He NEEDS to stay in the midfield. with Modric. My God, if we added Arda Turan to Lennon and Huddlestone...
Re: *** Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread *** i love watching bale, especially when he's aggressive (which is pretty much all the time) i hope he is at spurs for a long time
Re: *** Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread *** Here are my first hand observations: The Bad - Keane sucked last night. He scored, but only because of a terrible goalie error. He had numerous opportunities and messed them up. Jenas is a useless, shit tier player. Hutton had a terrible game - he got schooled to give up the goal and he flubbed a number of other opportunities. The back four was weak, but it was a combination of young players (Naughton started off really shaky, but you could see his confidence growing as the half went on) and players out of position (Corluka a left center back). I doubt we'll ever see a back four of Naughton, Corluka, Walker, and Hutton. The Good: Modric and Bale are incredible. A few times I just followed what Modric was doing - he stirs the entire pot on the attack. It's a lot of fun to watch. And Bale was a nightmare for the defense all night. I thought Kranjcar played pretty well, but you could tell he was a bit rusty. Kyle Walker impressed me too - he played well for a young guy. The midfield was pretty dominant and held the ball for the majority of the game. After the first 25 minutes or so, Red Bulls never really sustained anything. There was a lot of mixing players around and players out of position. It was good to see them experiment and also to play the 4-5-1. All and all it was a good game. And of course Henry would score against Spurs...
Re: *** Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread *** I'd love to see a 4-5-1 with Defoe up front, and Bale/Modric/Huddlestone/Turan/Lennon. Now, we just need to land Turan. :) That City game (first one of the season) can't get here soon enough!
Re: *** Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread *** keane has had so many opportunities in the first two games, and has finished once so frustrating to watch his push it wide or sky it over the crossbar
Re: *** Official Tottenham Hotspur Thread *** Saw a person on the subway with a tottenheim kit on. Pretty sure they were :jew:
