We’re going to Montana tomorrow and going to stop in the badlands. I’m actually pretty interested in checking out a few of these minute men silos.
wanted him to beat Bolsonaro bc of the Amazon but on foreign policy they are the same. he is an idiot
Interesting comment that I can't find that we are basically leaking the ATACMS info because we want Russia to give up, and give them time to make contingency plans. F'ing CIA.
I was wondering when the French/British cruise missiles would hit the naval base. That’s gotta be what this was I figured they hadn’t shown up since S-400’s blanket the peninsula but the Russians haven’t shown any ability to shoot them down so far so maybe Ukraine decided yolo Other option is this was the Neptune but I’m not sure Ukraine has any left
ohh crap you would hit this before hitting the fleet/fleet support facilities shit maybe the ATACMS are actually coming soon
Maybe they’re already there, or maybe they’re not coming and they’re trying to get them to change their behavior… idk
They really seem to be coming and soon, the State department has all but telegraphed it. Those ATACMS would wreck Sevastopol
I just hope it’s not a nuclear capable sub, as we would take that incredibly serious if it was one of ours.
Defo a Ropucha-I LST and a Kilo. Unless that's one of the ones they've already damaged, thats like 6 LSTs that have been hit now. And hitting a 636.3 Kilo is a really big deal - those things are brand spanking new and Russia builds its navy around its subs. There aren't any nuclear powered subs in the Black. All of Russia's nuclear powered subs are based in the North Fleet or Pacific Fleet. They in THEORY can carry nuclear warheads but that's just because Russia can put one on most of their cruise missiles. ETA: There's no real point in putting a nuclear powered vessel in the Black because the purpose of that kind of powerplant is to give unlimited range, and you can only go a few hundred miles in any direction in the Black, and wherever you are, Sevastopol or Novorosyysk are nearby.
Hard to make a judgement from that image - the top looks crispy but could easily be surface fire, which wouldn't much impact the engines or interior spaces. It does look legit though - forward gun deck looks right and you can see a bit of the removable hull plates on the front.
Impressive strike by the Ukrainians. At least in the long term (those ships were being repaired; who knows how long those repairs would take) this degrades Russia's ability to launch cruise missiles from ships in the Black Sea, and threaten Odesa with a naval invasion (I don't think this is a large possibility at this point, but the threat still has to be tying down Ukrainian assets in that area). For propaganda purposes, Ukraine hit Russia's historic naval base in the Black Sea on the day Jong Un Kim is visiting.
They're not repairing this landing ship any time soon, particularly if they can't re-float it and tug it to a drydock somewhere out of Ukrainian cruise missile range.
1) That is apparently the first destroyed/damaged in combat sub since the Falklands (ARA vessel from WW2) 2) Musk shut off Starlink again last night. That fucker is a traitor.
