If Putin’s situation gets desperate enough to turn to nukes, do we really think there won’t be a coup spurred on by the oligarchs? Would his military follow through on his orders if they knew it would mean certain retaliation when they know he’s lost and has also lost the support of the rich? Everything sounds like they’re in many ways just like us, the rich are ultimately in charge. No one makes any money in a nuclear war.
They had a bit of a log jam getting their helmets through. Once that was accomplished they were able to move on to other tasks.
Saw this in a NYT article. Didn't know till this week how big wheat was in Ukraine Between April 2020 and December 2021, the price of wheat increased 80 percent, according to data from the International Monetary Fund. North Africa and the Middle East, the largest buyers of Russian and Ukrainian wheat, were experiencing their worst droughts in over 20 years, said Sara Menker, the chief executive of Gro Intelligence, an artificial intelligence platform that analyzes global climate and crops.
It really is incredible and will be a defining moment in his presidency IMO. The only way this would be better if he was doing this NFL draft style and coming out on stage to periodically announce the latest sanction.
not here but weird seeing home board RW shitposters almost depressed that Ukraine is putting up a fight
From what I’ve seen it seems like the consensus is that a nuclear winter isn’t as likely. So a lot of places would be a radioactive wasteland, but it wouldn’t be an immediate extinction event.
He’s just embarrassing Putin now. What always struck me as interesting is how vain both Putin and Trump were. Apparently Putin and Trump both would record news programs and watch them over and over again when they talked about themselves. It was scary to see how insecure both of them came off with this behavior. Putin has to be glued to the TV watching how the world is perceiving this and it’s not a good look.
sure, very likely a nuclear launch order is ignored etc, but thats a pretty pretty bad risk calculus.
I mean there are quite a few Americans I wouldn't be opposed of this happening to. For instance anyone currently at CPAC.
Don't mind him. He's still stirred up from Bama killing fsu's QB and program in the season opener a few years back.
I hope you’re wrong. I def agree it’s a possibility. But everyone goes straight from Russia losing to Putin nuking the world. I would assume he has a secret and secure location to escape to if he ever needed it. Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if he had a mansion built inside a mountain, underwater, or something like a true supervillain. But there are plenty of ways this can play out. Not all even including Putin losing power. But he would have to be set on dying (cuz he would be guaranteeing his own death shooting a single nuke) and set on completely destroy the land, country, ideals, etc he loves to make the nuclear war decision. Would bet (and hope for humanity) disappearing and living out his days in secret luxury would be his last resort ahead of destroying the entire world. That said, he could be a nut job and want to be the man that destroyed the world. So again, not saying it isn’t a possibility.
If y'all sacrificed Alabama, I'd go out fighting back alongside my fellow brothers and sisters in Milo's.
His actual reasons or his stated reasons? Tucker is actually not stupid. But he's a fucking sociopath. His stated reasons vary but most recently it's because "no russian ever called me a racist" (clearly a troll playing off Muhammed Ali's opposition to the Vietnam war) and Putin is "anti-woke." His actual reasons? Who knows if he even personally does? His only function is to rally his viewers
There’s a nuclear fallout shelter under the courthouse in Huntsville. The signs are all from the Cold War.
I’m sure it’s true. They already have a bunch of satellites up there, it’s just a matter of pointing the antennas at Ukraine. And giving the population receivers.
