One thing I’m sure the CCP textbooks neglect to mention about Chinese history is that Mao deliberately withheld forces during the Sino truce for Japanese invasion so that the existing government would be bled dry trying to hold off the massacre. Basically condemned millions to die at the hands of foreign invaders to make it easier to take over. Great group.
Its cute that you assume the Tanggu Truce is even mentioned in the chinese textbooks Spoiler it isn't
So, if this were the case then the best thing would be if NATO doesn’t directly respond to the use of any nuclear weapon and instead let Finland and Poland join Ukraine officially, and then keep supplying those three. The only thing worse for Vlad than not being able to draw the US or NATO into the fight directly in order to save face against a superior opponent would be to have Finland, Poland, and Ukraine whip the shit out of Russia. That might be the quickest way to his seat.
I lost it in the feed somewhere but for those asking when the last time Russia tested a nuke, it was in 1990. Last US one was 1992. There’s been a test-ban treaty since then that pretty much everyone but NK follows now even if they haven’t ratified it.
Perhaps I’m wrong, but I was thinking that Poland could join the hostilities without the rest of NATO officially doing anything more than what they’ve been doing by providing weapons and training.
Have there been any estimates as to how much land Ukraine can retake before the Russian conscripts/winter sets in? Guessing there will be a standstill in the next month or so.
I haven’t seen any and tons of question marks on the eastern front right now. Taking Lyman should help things move more though. In the south it is all about Kherson. I think a goal is to push Russia across the river in that area.
This guy in former Australian Military logistics officer and puts out 1 hour power point presentations once a week that are pretty informative.
Perun is great and somehow gets crazy views with a powerpoint presentation. Dude is probably the best open source analyst for in-depth information that vastly surpasses ISW and all the twitter pundits on any topic he chooses.
A pro-Kremlin Telegram channel with close ties to the Wagner mercenary group reported that it had been impossible to withdraw Russian troops from the city earlier because of Putin’s annexation ceremony and speech on Friday.
Yea, it’s wild that he gets up to and over 1m views for a freakin PowerPoint but they are super detailed and easily digestible.
Russia cannibalised their mobilization infrastructure by sending training units into combat, and now has nobody to train their conscripts. If they are smart they will rebuild said infrastructure over 8-12 months, but it seems like they aren’t doing that, which is bad for Ivan.
If Russia is really willing to use Nukes over this it’s just a matter of time until we irradiate this rock
