LeMahieu leading off today. Hopefully this is the end of Gardner leading off. Love the guy but dude has no business hitting anywhere but the bottom of the order at this point in his career.
I know shit happens with injuries, but I can't get over the amount of muscle pulls we have on the IL. Sanchez, Stanton, Tulo, Hicks, Severino. I feel like at some point we need to look at the offseason program and/or trainers and ask wtf is up with that. No reason this many guys should be pulling muscles at once early in the season.
Yea I agree with you. When we had an old roster it was chalked up to age but now we have young guys and even more are hurt. I've never seen a team with this many injuries, especially early in the season.
I didn't mind him coming back out. Reasonable pitch count and he was rolling. The bullpen has been worked heavy so far. Nice to give them an unplanned night off.
dblplay1212 thoughts on Frazier's cleats? Really glad for Frazier seeing success in the bigs. If he can keep this up, what a haul for Andrew Miller and loaning out Chapman between Torres, Paxton and Frazier.
They are fantastic. They are a custom of the Jordan 1 Nigel Silvester, who is a bike guy. They came already scuffed up as if you had been trick riding a bike.
Unbelievable. We need to perform an exorcism or something in that locker room. Some ritual something to get rid of whatever is taking out guys down one by one. This is some Final Destination shit.
Baseball players are super soft and super injury prone, and the Yankees obviously have issues with their training staff. Look, Ellsbury has been hurt for 2 years
Ellsbury is "hurt" for insurance reasons. https://yanksgoyard.com/2018/06/02/yankees-insurance-policy-jacoby-ellsbury/
The Athletic. Well worth the subscription for Yankees and baseball content in general for me. Decent Canes coverage too. Not sure about PSU.
Carig and Adler are great. I’ve had Athletic sub basically from day one. Good writing with no ads is worth $60/year
RAB shutting down blows. I used to read LoHud but they've changed people and formats so much over the last few years.
Nervous for this west coast trip even though the teams suck. Not that hyped to stay up until 2 am this week either.
2 rbi in extras and a helluva play at 3b. Great game for him. Pretty awesome that this team keeps winning.
IIRC we got Voit and international bonus money for Chasen Shreve. Safe to call that deal a win. Sucks I probably won't get to see much of these games on the west coast. Just can't be up that late this week with what I have going on with work.
And Cashman is often overlooked bc "Anyone can do it with that payroll" but he's really built this team. C: Sanchez - homegrown 1b: Voit - steal of a trade 2b: Torres - Loaned Chapman for 2 months SS: Didi - Traded Shane Green for him 3b: Andujar - homegrown LF: Stanton - money move CF: Hicks - steal of a trade RF: Judge - homegrown Tanaka is the only pitcher that was bought for bog money. Well I guess CC too, even though his deal was over a few years ago. Paxton came from a piece we got from Miller. Plus guys like Frazier and German are contributing in huge ways. And he did it all with never tearing the club down to a cellar team. Pretty damn good work by him.
Yea not sure what's going on there. He was as good as anyone in the game the last 2 years and now he cant get an out. Has to be something mechanical thats flattening out his fb.
Voit? He was even better last season once we got him. 14 HR in 148 PA's. Iirc he had the best HR per AB than any player in baseball once the Yankees acquired him.
