man you ain’t kidding. They’re just not fun to watch. It’s painful to watch there guys try and play. Nothing ever goes right.
Here’s something I just thought of … when a team pulls a 6-for-2 deal like this where do they get the players to replace them in the organization?
Clarke ended up getting pulled from the deal and the Yankees are taking a lesser bullpen guy than originally. I love this deal for a guy like Gallo, not a single system Top 10 guy
Was just going by this honestly https://www.mlb.com/prospects/yankees/ Volpe and Peraza are the 2 big middle infield prospects in the system right now.
Rizzo is from the Miami area so it’s pretty cool that his first series with you guys will be in his hometown. This trade hurts me deep in my soul. Great baseball player but even better human. Going to miss the hell out of him.
Schwarber to the Sox Was holding out hope Cashman would swing something for him but fuck it kills me to have to not like him.
Yankees are the hottest team in baseball the last 30 days and in that time they lead the AL in OBP, SB, BB and are top 1/3 of the league in H, 2B, RBI and R while being bottom 1/3 in HR. Translation: They switched their fucking philosophy and it feels real good to know what I'm talking about.
starting the season with an almost entirely right handed hitting lineup would be enough to get most GMs fired. Glad he made changes because they were not fun to watch whatsoever about 35 days ago.
no, cashman is. 8 right handed hitters to start a season playing 81 games in yankee stadium is/should be a fireable offense.
And we went super high risk with damn near the entire rotation and it bit us in the ass. Maybe that's bc we had to ge bargain shoppers bc Hal is pinching pennies, idk.
hal's next on my list. im almost positive he's the mailman's kid. he ain't got a single bit of his father in him. if you don't care anymore than that, sell the fuckin' team.
I'm kinda just whatever on it. Glad to see Sanchez gone but not sure I like Urshela for Donaldson. Urshela had a down year last year but he's a lot younger and cheaper. I think it does signal we're not spending money on a SS with IKF being the stop gap until Volpe is ready. So maybe they sign Freeman?
Do you guys just both randomly dislike the same guy? Or is there some Donaldson/NYY history I'm not remembering?
Donaldson had a lot to say in the press about Cole's rotation and spider-tac. He's going to have to blow Cole on opening day in between innings in center field and Cole's going to have to signal to the crowd he did a good job before Yankee fans will even deal with him. That said I would have taken a 5 gallon pail of sunflower seeds as part of a deal for Sanchez so I'm just kinda 'meh' about it.
As previously stated, it's mainly the shit he talked about Cole. Plus he just seems like a fake hardo guy.
He's from Pensacola. He started at Pace but his teammates hated him so he left and went to Faith Academy in Mobile.
Knew he went to Faith but didn’t know he started in Pcola. I’d probably hate him if he hadn’t gone to Auburn.
With due respect, you also talked shit about Cole for the exact same reason Donaldson did when he played for a different team.
I had concerns as a fan in signing him. I'm not an mlb player talking shit to the media. I hope you can see the difference.
It may have changed but when I was in Mobile, Faith was a weird school. It was a small high school, like 300 kids, and it was kids from super strict families that wouldn't let their kids go to public school or kids that had kinda been run out of public school. There was another school that was similar, IMS. I probably unfairly judge him bc he went to Faith but I've just never been a fan. I don't even think about him going to Auburn bc I don't follow college baseball at all. He's just a Faith kid to me and they were normally dickheads that thought they were great bc they were in a small pond.
