legends on lindsey
oh boy who to trust here
never been to victoria’s so i can’t vouch
Van’s Pig Stand or Taramuharas.
You guys have given me plenty to think about
I feel like the guys giving tips on Norman restaurants haven’t eaten there in over a decade (no offense). Use this opportunity to get your Thai fix. Go to Chada or Sweet Basil’s or Thuwan (prob in that order). Check em out online to gauge what kinda ambience you’re lookin for. Lots of good Thai food in Norman (surprisingly). Best in Oklahoma outside the Del city/Midwest city area, but my fav places there probably cannot pass a health inspection.
My wife worked at Sweet Basil’s in college and votes Victoria’s
I’m gonna pass on the explosive diarrhea with a 4 hour drive home to follow but thanks though
Chada it is! Victoria’s is good. I just figured our man likes Thai food...
I do not :(
Does anybody still work at Devon? Tower of Sauron bout to be empty as fuck. Closing down one of the elevator banks. Feelsbadman.
tana thai is in the village and it's our current favorite.
as others have said, Norman is a great Thai town, so if you go back there, recommend it.
Also recommend The Mont when you go, classic campus spot that's been there for decades, get a swirl, all the food is good.
No one told me you have Del Tacos!
And...to a lesser extent...Potbellys!
I don’t eat Thai anymore because it makes me shit and vomit at the same time but the last time I had it was Tana Thai and it was great. Then I shit and vomited at the same time.
Hitting Yokozuna right now. Some pretty dope roll ideas at this place.
I’m pleasantly surprised by the food representation in OKC so far. Well done, gents.
Just wait until you have a hamburger at The Red Dog.
I just had peanut butter in a sushi roll, I’m gonna need a minute.
Go on up to Sidecar for a cocktail. Enjoy the views.
P sure I could see Kansas from 20 feet off the ground here.
Welcome to the prairie
I was there last night. I could have slapped you in the face with my sausage
Wouldn’t be the first time.
S&B burger for lunch - bacon jelly on a burger, I dig it
Hall’s Pizza for dinner - hot honey on the crust
I’m gonna have to food detox when I go home on weekends.
Imurhuckleberry works here on the regular, too
I’m smelling a TMB meetup
If you haven't done it yet grab dinner at Vast at some point. Food is decent but the view, especially around sunset, from the top of Devon tower is pretty darn cool.
Putting it on the list.
If my previous suggestion of multiple Lunchboxes at Edna’s isn’t on that list, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself
meh, the food is garbage and way overpriced.
if you really want to see it, just go up and grab a cocktail and go eat somewhere else.
Huck is fancy. It's not his fault; as fans of Harvard of the south, it's just in our blood.
My Mississippi grandmother would have hugged Sean Brock if she had ever gotten a chance to eat at Huck.
I have no idea what this means.
Were we not talking about Huck? The restaurant?
Sean Brock is the owner and head chef?
Futureman he was referencing Imurhuckleberry's post about vast
Huck =/= Husk
dahldennsull Vito’s is the call tonight.
We’re only on the bread and I’m already a fan.
Cheese ravioli for appy, that was some bomb ass cheese
Meat ravioli with Italian sausage for dinner. Expected a little more kick from the sausage but the sauce and pasta was top-notch.
my man Fusiontegra, that bread and garlic olive oil is
Their sauce is some of the best I've found anywhere, glad you got something with it on it.
I haven't even gotten a chance to go to the new spot, they just moved in a very short time ago, need to get it on the schedule asap. Hope Cathy treated you well, she's the sweetest most welcoming lady anywhere and greets everyone like they're coming to her home.
This was absolutely true. Even in really tight quarters, she creates such a great environment right off the bat. Solid recommendation.
Hit up Fuzzy's last night after the gym.
Pretty darn good tacos for being a chain place. Went Spicy California, brisket, and mahi. Solid margaritas for $8.
Also, fine OKC residents...wtf is with this weather? We just moved to a hotel with an outdoor pool and all the sudden Oklahoma discovered clouds and wind.
Really? I haven’t been, but Chef Kurt (I had heard he’s now running the kitchen at Vast) used to run my favorite place: The Coach House. The coach house was the only AAA rated 4 diamond restaurant in the state of Oklahoma. I miss that place, and am sad to hear Vast isn’t top notch.
Closest chick-fil-a is in the mall food court. You could convince me this is where they filmed the last few episodes of the most recent season of Stranger Things.
There’s one on Penn ave about a quarter mile north of the turnpike. You could throw a rock across the turnpike and hit it from your hotel
Our office is the opposite direction, I think. With traffic, it said it would take longer, so here we are.
No big deal; I’m just marveling at the time travel machine that is the mall food court. I’m about to go looking for a Scoops Ahoy.
It’s sort of a marvel in the way it still looks like it’s straight out of the 80s and it’s still very busy at times
you did not use google maps well. One on penn up north, or one on May south of village. both WAY better than food court.
heat is coming back soon for you. Fuzzy's is delicious, didn't include chains in case you wanted more local spots, but we go up there often.
