I was looking for the black retail version for sale/resale and stumbled on a comment that led me to an athlete and I bought directly from them. Super cheap, definitely wasn’t a milking the free merch kind of situation.
Was watching para rugby earlier, these guys are in incredible shape to go that hard but not a fan of how little defense there is. Only way you can stop attacks for the most part is setting up a blockade of wheelchairs
The commercial is kinda corny after seeing it 900x but Jessica Long is such a badass, absolutely perfect technique and crazy upper body strength
They're doing the team trials here next week. Are some of the members already picked? No idea how it works but was thinking I’d go check it out maybe.
(Curling) In double round robin (10 matches) Shuster’s team is 4-0. Our local guy’s team is 2-2, our local girl’s team is tied for first at 2-1 To follow: https://www.usacurling.org/2022-team-trials-standings Round Robin concludes Thursday then Friday comes elimination rounds.
(Curling) Finals start tomorrow. Best of 3. Shuster made it, no surprise. Our local girl also made the women’s final. Will air on NBC Sports tomorrow at 6 PM eastern for the guys, 9 PM eastern for the gals.
“We were on the wrong side of the inch a few times there and it’s really tough to play from behind against that team,” said John Shuster. “That’s all you can do. Go out and try to make shots to create opportunities.” Team Dropkin is one win way away from an Olympic berth, but Team Shuster is no stranger to must-win situations. In the 2018 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, Team Shuster won two straight games after losing the first of the series to become Olympians. Game two of the men’s final will be played at 5:00PM (CST) on Saturday, November 20th. https://www.usacurling.org/press-releases/team-dropkin-wins-trials-final-game-one
Dropkin controlled that game from the jump. Didn’t matter whether they had the hammer or not, they were in control when it came down to the skips each end.
Where do I post about women's cross country then? Or are we still making fun of people for following women's sports here? NC St women are just incredibly impressive
they just sent a whole bunch of people to Tokyo (and are still sending production crews, I think, although maybe they’re just going to really say fuck it and go with the IOC feed?)
Yeah but they got criticized during the last winter games for doing remote play by play. It's the correct decision to not send anyone but I think it's also a convenient way of turning it into the norm. I believe the same is going to happen in college football as well with non power 5 games using remote play by play crews
It’s already pretty normal for college basketball and it sucks. Like 75% of the VT home basketball games haven’t had announcers at the game.
Rise and shine! Olympics start this morning. Mixed Doubles Curling on NBC sports featuring our hometown girl. 7:05 AM EST vs Austria.
