Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce and Elaine Thompson Herah have been much more dominant in the sprints than Felix (Felix even changed events from what they run to be able to compete). That’d be like Tyson Gay being the face of mens sprinting over Usain Bolt.

Lyles definitely didn’t hold back on Knighton. Dunked on him at the finish and then took no prisoners in the interview with Knighton standing right there.
Probably when they had like Tyson Gay, Gatlin, Walter Dix, etc. US is loaded though in the sprints. Also my FSU boy Trey Cunningham made the team in the hurdles, finished 2nd. Beat Devon Allen too.
This dude went from scaring world records a couple months back to barely being 3rd in the us champs in a race without Holloway. Tough event.
Just finished watching today's finals... Sydney McLaughlin is so amazing. I feel bad for Femka Bol. She's one of the best to ever run in her event in history and she very well may only ever get 3rd at best behind Sydney and Dalilah Muhammad at the World's and Olympics in their careers. I wouldn't have predicted Athing to be pushed like she was by Ajee Wilson but I'm glad she was because if she was racing Keely Hodgkinson today she very well may have lost. Hopefully that's a bit of a wake up call for her. Loved Noah letting Eryion know he's going to have to earn it. Rai looks real good....is Warholm expected to be healthy by World's?

Athing just mis-paced her own race, she didn’t go out hard enough and kept everyone in it. Although idk if I’ve ever seen anyone re-take a lead like that down the stretch. Alison dos Santos been running great, everyone acting like he’s passing Rai at world’s, then Rai just goes out and cruises to a world leading time.
Yeah he's impressive and has been for years but like Bol....he's still very obviously 3rd behind Warholm and Rai when they are healthy. Dos Santos races in like every damn Diamond League event it seems and he just clowns on everyone in those so I think it just feels like he's on their level.
Also...I really, really look forward to the relays which you only really see in the Olympics and the World's. We're obviously always strong in all of them but if we're able to see a mixed 4×4 of Sydney, Rai, Dalilah, anchored by Michael Norman they may set a world record that would hold up for a long damn time.
Really comes down to whether or not we want to set the record in the event. We’d likely save the folks you mentioned for the mens and womens 4x4. Could still give it a run with all the collegians. Randolph Ross, Champion Allison, Steiner and Diggs. BUT I imagine Allyson Felix will be on the team.

Yea I suggested she run this event earlier in the thread but out of all the people that sat it out to call her out is silly. She’s like the 6th person down the list to gripe at.
Not for me. She's the youngest. She should ideally be jumping at any chance to win gold. Those other girls have all earned the right more than her to pass if they want.
