Women's 400m Olympic record: 48.25 McLaughlin 400m Hurdles at worlds: 50.68 That's one of the more absurd things I've ever seen in track.
Idk if it’s the same substitute rules as the mixed relays but I’ll take a McLaughlin, Steiner, Felix and Mu womens 4x4 tomorrow if Athing is up to it post 800.
Oh shit, Warner goes down with popped hamstring in 400m on final event of day in decathlon. Owens Delerme has had an insane season and may be the favorite now
That middle exchange was fine but Coleman ran up Lyles’ back and the last one was waving it around. That’ll get ya
Healthy Kerley runs down DeGrasse, such a shame as the men have really made up for being so awful in Tokyo.
I couldn't watch live last night but caught up. While the men failing is disappointing, I'll take it to get that incredible women's finish. I thought for sure Jamaica would run away with it. Amazing race.
Really disappointing day from Ayden Owens Delerme in the decathlon (Arkansas T&F athlete) today after being the day 1 leader after Warner’s injury. Had a chance at world title if he matched his season bests in throws and PV today, and instead had some abysmal throws in discus and javelin to take him out of contention to give himself a shot in the 1500m, where he’s elite.
No one has any clue what kind of shape (good or bad) Mu is in right now. This should be super interesting.
I know dick about track strategy but her positioning when GB chick made the inside move made the difference
The start lists for the relays are posted online. Unless some changes are made, we don’t get Steiner, Mu or Felix for the women.
Mens high hurdles did the same last Sunday, but yea. nevrrmind I’m dumb the 100m open were the same too
